Did do an extensive dig once on SF a long time ago - on that basis, did not seem reliable. Also many anons would not use it.
Don't know whether i would call it a reliable source but more open to looking at it closer. Using discernment, case by case.

many bakers have tried for anon-called-only notables. but does not seem like bakers can compel anons to notable.
for greater participation, can ask anons to check notables or to evaluate posted notables. Can be helpful to do a LAST CALL bun so anons have a final chance to say yea or nay (but leave enough time).

Gateway Pundit is usually ok, but have to check them. Sometimes they rush to press too fast or hype the material too much. Usually cut down their paragraph-style headlines in half.
Baking and note-taking are very different.
Usually anons - including bakers - will excel at one more than the other.
But in the beginning, bakers didn't want notetakers - wanted to do it all themselves.
This has changed. but note-taking is still not given the same respect, prolly because baking is so vital to keeping the board open.
Best if bakers and notetakers can each get their due - and find ways to work together, even when breads are fast and fat with news.
Bread making is technically simpler than it used to be.
But many issues can come up that require discernment, calmness and leadership. More true when Q was posting (and may be true again). But even now, a lotta of stuff can happen - shill attacks, ddos, cp, bread steals, etc. Always good to have a baker with a level head watching the bread.
