If Russia is banned from SWIFT it cannot sell using the petrodollars in Europe but if it has alternate financial transfer systems for trading like its own SPFS and China's CIPs it has options. So, it could say to Germany pay me in gold. Or it could say no to Germany and destroy access to oil and move on. Russia is rich with resources - and has a gold reserve. Which is what the thugs are after.

This isn't good for U.S., can practically hear the power shift to Russia and China.
