North Korea resumed testing missiles Sunday as the world’s attention focused on the invasion of Ukraine by Russian, an ally of the totalitarian nation.

Pyongyang fired a suspected ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan for the eighth time this year, according to South Korea and Japan.

Ukrainian forces worked to remove an unexploded missile on Friday from a residential area in the country's northeast following a Russian attack.

The images, from Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) correspondent Maryan Kushnir, show an unexploded piece of ordinance in the "Horse Market" area of Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city.

Since the beginning of Russia's armed aggression, 198 civilians, including three children, have been killed at the hands of Russian invaders, 1,115 have been injured, 33 of them are children.

Minister of Health Viktor Liashko wrote about this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced martial law in Ukraine from 5:30 a.m. on February 24 for 30 days - until March 27.

Ukrainian air defense shot down a Russian missile in the morning, which flew in the direction of the dam of the Kyiv reservoir.

The Ministry of Infrastructure announced this in a statement with reference to the Ukrvodshliakh state enterprise, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

“At 3:50 a.m. this morning, Ukrainian air defenses shot down a Russian missile that was flying in the direction of the dam of the Kyiv reservoir, located north of Kyiv. If the dam is destroyed, the flood will cause catastrophic casualties and damage, including flooding of residential areas of Kyiv and suburbs.

The destruction of the Kyiv dam can lead to the destruction of the Kaniv, Kremenchuk and other dams of the cascade and even an accident at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant.
