CD Mon, 5/28 6PM HVO reports a fast moving pahoehoe flow from Fissure 8 advancing on Nohea and Kupono St north of Leilani St. Reports of lava fountains on Moku Street. Anyone in the area, from Pomaikai east, needs to leave now.

#LeilaniEstatesEruption #KilaueaVolcano LATEST (May 28 at 6 PM): Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency officials have confirmed anyone still inside #LeilaniEstates is being told to LEAVE IMMEDIATELY due to a dangerous fast-moving flow rushing through the subdivision. The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reports the flow from Fissure 8 is advancing on Nohea and Kupono Streets north of Leilani Street. There are also reports of lava fountains on Moku Street. Anyone in the area, from Pomaikai east, needs to LEAVE NOW. Civil Defense says first responders are going door-to-door. More details as soon as they become available. The volcano's emissions are affecting air quality far behind the SE tip, and the EQs are building to a big explosion. The fast lava flows and fountains, and the ever increasing fissures could very well contribute to a landslide which would cause a tsunami that would affect all the coastal areas.
