Look at the map. Prior to 2020, did folks in IL/Chicago think election fraud was real? Some places are (were) worse than others. Is corruption real? Can the people fix it? Why the focus on unity across party/race/religious affiliation? That's where the real power is. Every place on this map has its problems. Running away from them won't fix it.
Anon can't give advice on what to do in your situation. Try to acknowledge where the issues are, and how people can work together to fix them. Together is the only way through it.
