Okay, lets hear what they are doing wrong? Are you commenting on the support hand on the mag well?
I think the angle of the pic may make it seem off, but if they're advancing their legs would/should be closer rather than wider.
Anon is trying to understand if the first pic was of a shell caught in the ejection port (due to weak support hand and no control of recoil) or the shell was still being ejected. Me thinks it's the first.
What in the holy hell are talking about? The kick from an M16/M4 does not have a kick so strong to kick you backwards UNLESS you're standing straight upright.
Stability is gained by sure-footedness and proper movement techniques. Why would you ever want to stand straight up when conducting contact fires?
AKA the weaver or modified weaver (depending on the distance/placement of the rear foot)
I feel bad that you have received such poor instruction in the past if you think this position is a bad position. This is absolutely how I would conduct firing and advancement scenarios. Biceps are much stronger on everyone than shoulders, lats and back all at once. Works best in close quarters situations, moving, stationary, long waits etc. Easy to manipulate and control each shot.
