Biblical Sauce [GOD to Satan]: "And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring [seed] and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.” [Genesis 3:15]
~<>~ Previously, ("So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them." [Genesis 1:27])
~<>~ Our ET adversary is a billion years older, has ‘fixed’ (((himself))) and creates all his 'minions' in his own image, i.e. not a similar 'biology'; not male/female ...
The Fermi Paradox
In a conversation with Edward Teller, Emil Konopinski, and Herbert York at a physicists lunch at Los Alamos Labs in 1950, Enrico Fermi responded to someone’s claim that extraterrestrial intelligences exist [ETIs,ETs] ~ be they individual entities, group intelligences, civilization, etc. ~ with his famous remark: “Well then where are they?” ~<< The Fermi Paradox
As one might expect from Enrico Fermi, this commonsense question contained profound scientific and philosophical implications.
In 1960, 29-yo astronomer Frank Drake used the 26-meter radio-telescope of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory to conduct the first search for extraterrestrial life (SETI) ~ Project OZMA. Drake searched for ‘intelligent’ radio signals from the near-by stars, Tau Ceti and Epsilon Eridani. ~<< results were negative.
Astronomer Frank Drake convened a small workshop after the completion of Project Ozma, whereby Drake attempted to develop some ‘expectations’ of finding life in the ‘cosmic haystack’. Drake included physical, biological and cultural considerations:
N = (R*) (fp) (ne) (fl) (fi) (fc) (L) [Drake’s Eqn]
R ~ the rate of star formation in our Milky Way; (R*) ~ rate of formation of “G-type” stars like our sun.
fp ~ the fraction of stars with planetary systems
ne ~ the number of planets [per solar system] suitable for life
fl ~ the probability that life will develop on a suitable planet
fi ~ the probability that life will evolve to an intelligent state
fc ~ the probability that intelligent life will develop a culture capable of communication over interstellar distances.
L ~ the time in years that such a culture will spend actually trying to communicate.
~<>~ Now we know that N = 1, at least because << humanity exists on earth.
