Southern Baptist Convention President Ed Litton will not seek reelection at the convention's annual meeting this June, Litton announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Alabama pastor's decision is uncommon in the history of the nation's largest Protestant denomination. It also adds another high priority item to the list of decisions Southern Baptists will make at its two-day meeting in Anaheim.
