>>>>15757268 (lb) Harris County Texas Voter Suppression
Today is Election Day in Texas, and the https://harrisvotes.com/WaitTimes?lang=en-US website showed NO polling locations this morning. The voting location PDF was changed at 4:03 THIS MORNING. In (conservative West Houston) Katy, for example, only ONE of the previously listed voting locations remained the same - there are more now than for early voting, but they are not at regular precinct polling sites; therefore, most voters will show up at their precincts not knowing they cannot vote there.
The poll site map was functional by @9:40am, but map polling locations did not all match the 4:03 am PDF list of sites.
In addition, PJ's (Presiding Judges) who are working the polls were assigned and reassigned to locations over the last few days; have had to work to find election clerks to assist (including this morning); were given their PJ boxes minus ballot paper and (as noted during early voting) were being told to allow Republican and Democrat ballots to be co-mingled in the same drop boxes after being scanned.
Alan Vera, the Harris County Republican Party Ballot Security chairman, put out a call late Sunday evening for Republican volunteers to go downtown yesterday to help with Republican ballots that, "didn't scan correctly in early voting… the only way to prevent Republican ballots from being voided".
There was only one election worker training site early on on the west side of Houston; 2 weeks+ before the election, training locations were only in Baytown, Clear Lake, Spring, East Houston or downtown - all far from the majority conservative west Houston, effectively discouraging conservatives from becoming election workers or poll watchers.
Real voter suppression is alive and well.
