Screaming in red text. You seem very reasonable and calm. Here's a thought for you, if there's room underneath the rage for thought:

For five thousand years, beginning of life was defined as when the newborn babe takes its first independent breath of air. If that didn't happen, the babe was considered stillborn.

Yes, they had abortions, abortion herbs and even Caesarian Section births thousands of years ago. We call being "untimely ripped from his mother's womb" what we do (Caesarian birth) after Julius Caesar, who was born that way.

So, given the worldwide, universal use of the the first independent breath as the standard for beginning of life, what changed in recent history? Technology? No.

Pope John Paul 2, who is now recognized as a scandalous sinner, pushed the concept that life begins at conception as a way to divide males and females and pit them against each other. Consider all the political upheaval that this change in definition has caused. Then consider the full character background of the man who pushed the concept, and his likely motives.

I write this knowing your screaming all-caps red text isn't motivated by a love for all life. I nevertheless wanted to post the counterpoint to your screeching.
