I distinctly remember some time ago, maybe around 2014/2015, I put a challenge out there to the net: sure you might be able to deceive people to do retarded things, but you can't make the population follow along when the actions being demanded are clearly against the self interest.

Everything since then has felt like the world trying it's damnedest to prove me wrong, and I've got to say this week's episode is incredible. They have actually managed to convince a number of individuals to volunteer to go to war, fighting beside literal Nazis.
