Why are trips allowed?

I recalled this as a 3y 2d delta, and considered it was also today's date. Depending on the graphic/time zone, it was more likely a 3y 1d delta. He's on non-AF1 in WI/MN today.

Perusing the graphics, there just seemed to be mult plausible connections to our current whereabouts.
