US Army Announces Mandatory Training on Pronouns and Gender Dysphoria — While Russia Invades Ukraine, Surrounds Kiev

Priorities.

While Russian invades Ukraine and bombs civilian centers the US Army is putting soldiers through mandatory training on pronouns and gender dysphoria.

And they wonder why the barbarians in Afghanistan were able to hand them a humiliating defeat?

Maybe they should be holding mandatory leadership training instead?

Via The Washington Free Beacon.

While Russia wages a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. Army is putting its soldiers through training on gender pronouns and coaching officers on when to offer soldiers gender transition surgery, according to an official military presentation on the subject obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The mandatory presentation, “Policy on the Military Service of Transgender Persons and Persons with Gender Dysphoria,” was given to officers earlier this month along with instructions for them to train their subordinates on the material. Portions of the presentation were provided to the Free Beacon by a whistleblower who was ordered to undergo the training as a high-ranking officer in the Army Special Forces.

An Army spokesman confirmed to the Free Beacon that the slides in question are part of “mandatory training” and come from an official program “used to train Army personnel on the recent changes to the DoD and Army transgender service policy.” All Army personnel, from soldiers to commanders and supervisors, are required to participate in the training by Sept. 30, 2022, according to the spokesman.

China responds to claim it asked Russia to delay Ukraine offensive

Beijing says the US provoked Moscow by not ruling out NATO membership for Kiev

China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin has condemned the “fake” and “very despicable” suggestion that Beijing asked Russia to delay its invasion of Ukraine until after the 2022 Winter Olympics had finished.

Speaking at a daily briefing on Thursday, Wang told reporters that the allegation in the New York Times newspaper “is purely fake news, and such behaviors of diverting attention and shifting blame are very despicable.” He reiterated the country’s claim that the US provoked Russia by not ruling out NATO membership for Ukraine.

The report in the New York Times quoted a Western intelligence report as saying senior Chinese officials told senior Russian officials to not invade Ukraine until the international sporting event in Beijing had concluded.

The article claims the “report indicates that senior Chinese officials had some level of direct knowledge about Russia’s war plans or intentions before the invasion started.”

Ahead of the Winter Olympics, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping met, issuing a joint statement to declare that the “friendship between the two states has no limits,” adding that “there are no ‘forbidden’ areas of cooperation.”

China was one of 35 nations that abstained from a vote of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, which saw 141 nations condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while only five members, including Moscow, rejected the resolution.

“Regrettably, the draft resolution submitted to the General Assembly emergency special session for vote had not undergone full consultations with the whole membership, nor does it take into consideration the history and the complexity of the current crisis,” Wang told reporters, explaining China’s decision to abstain.

Russia’s main gas pipeline to Europe stops supplies

Bids remained for supplies in both directions

Westbound gas flows from Russia to Germany via the Yamal-Europe pipeline stopped on Thursday, while bids remained for supplies in both directions, according to data tracked by the pipeline operator Gascade.

According to the operator, westbound gas supplies had been mostly at about 17.5 million kWh/h at Mallnow metering point for some 10 hours before the stoppage.

The data also showed preliminary bids of 6.4 million kWh/h for the next 24 hours for westbound supplies, with bids for eastbound flows of 6.1 million kWh/h.

Gazprom said on Thursday it was shipping gas to Europe via Ukraine in line with customers’ requests.

In December, the German-Polish section of the pipeline switched into reverse – eastbound – mode as buyers in Poland drew on stored supplies from Germany rather than buying more Russian gas at the spot market where the prices recorded all-time highs nearly every day. Western media at the time accused Russia’s Gazprom of deliberately cutting European supplies.

The Russian state-controlled energy giant has intermittently sent gas westward via the link in recent days amid high demand in Europe. The company has also increased supplies to the continent via Ukraine.

Russia covers nearly 40% of European gas demand with the Yamal-Europe route accounting for nearly 15% of the country’s westbound supply.

White House Asks Congress For $10B In Ukraine Aid, $22.5 Billion In COVID Funds

The White House on Wednesday formally asked Congress to vote on $10 billion in humanitarian, economic and security aid for Ukraine and Central European allies in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to The Hill.

"Given the rapidly evolving situation in Ukraine, I anticipate that additional needs may arise over time," wrote Office of Management and Budget acting director Shalinda Young in a Thursday letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, adding that she also anticipates "additional funding will be needed to support the covid-19 response" as well.

"This funding request is based on the Administration’s best information on resource requirements at this time, and we will remain in touch with the Congress in the coming weeks and months as we assess resource requirements beyond these immediate needs."

The funding request includes assistance to bolster Ukraine's defenses, as well as protect its electrical grid from disruption.

Originally, the Biden administration asked for $6.4 billion for Ukraine in order to boost programs at the State Department and Pentagon in response to the crisis. The figure quickly ballooned to $10 billion (or roughly one border wall) so the US can help train Ukraine's military, provide food and humanitarian aid, and boost cybersecurity defenses, among other things.

The funding would also help enforce Biden's recent actions against Russia - including $659 million for a task force to enforce sanctions on Russian oligarchs who have evaded them. $91 million would go to the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), which can chase offshore companies and trusts.

According to Young, the funds should be authorized as part of an appropriations bill that Congress is expected to approve before a March 11 government funding deadline.

An additional $22.5 billion in COVID-19 relief funds was also requested.

Lawmakers have been scrambling to hammer out a widely sought and repeatedly delayed long-term deal to fund the government. While talks have progressed, disagreements remain, according to the Washington Post.

On Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced a “snag” in talks over Ukraine assistance, attacking Democrats for trying to source the money from sums they already planned to apportion for the Pentagon. A day later, dozens of Republicans questioned whether additional coronavirus aid is necessary, arguing that the Biden administration has not fully accounted for existing spending, including the $1.9 trillion package adopted last year. -WaPo

While lawmakers have eight days to finalize emergency spending measures and come up with a broader government deal, they can also buy themselves time with yet another stopgap.

Without the funds, Young warned of significant consequences - including a "constrained" Pentagon and several agencies which would be prevented from carrying out efforts to combat Covid-19 (faster than it's already disappearing on its own?).

Soros Mag: Focus On White Deaths in Ukraine Is Racist ‘Dog Whistle.’

The billionaire-backed OpenDemocracy website claims journalistic focus on Ukraine undermines ethnic minority trust in media.

OpenDemocracy – a left-wing, online magazine funded in large part by George Soros’s Open Society Foundations – has called for the coverage of the Russia-Ukraine conflict to be “anti-racist,” while appearing to insist that coverage of white war casualties is a racist “dog whistle.”

On March 2nd, OpenDemocracy published an opinion editorial entitled “Racist War Reporting Undermines Trust in Media,” authored by Marcus Ryder, an alumnus of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and the Chinese state-run media outlet China Global Television Network (CGTN). The editor of the book “Black British Lives Matter,” Ryder has also served as Chairman of the Royal Television Society’s Diversity Committee.

In recent days, I have been worried that some of the media coverage of the Ukraine war is actively undermining that trust in established media organisations, especially among people of colour and certain marginalised sections of the audience.

– Marcus Ryder

“The fact that a conflict may be thought of as relatively more important because it is taking place on European soil should not be confused with the idea that we should be more sympathetic to the victims of a conflict because they are European,” Ryder explains, insisting “too many journalists” have already done so in regard to the ongoing Russia–Ukraine conflict.

“News reports that try to increase an audience’s emotional connection to European victims by drawing comparisons to how the victims are people “just like us”, when this type of comparison hasn’t been used when reporting other conflicts, sends out the signal that we should value them more because they are European,” he continues.

“Stories that directly highlight that this conflict is more dramatic because “Ukraine is not a ‘Third World’ country” can feel like a ‘dog whistle’, with “not a ‘Third World’ country” really meaning ‘white,” Ryder asserts.

Peloton’s ex-CEO John Foley sells $50M in stock as fitness firm struggles

Peloton’s founder and former CEO John Foley has sold company stock worth about $50 million to MSD Partners — an investment firm linked to tech billionaire Michael Dell – as the struggling fitness brand attempts an overhaul under a new boss.

Foley, who stepped down as CEO last month and became Peloton’s executive chairman, sold about 1.92 million shares, according to a regulatory filing made public on Wednesday. Despite the sale, Foley retains voting control at Peloton.

MSD Partners bought the stock at $26 per share – a steep discount compared to Peloton’s peak in the at-home fitness boom during the COVID-19 pandemic. Peloton shares touched highs of nearly $170 in January 2021, but the stock has plunged in recent months during a sag in demand for the company’s bikes and treadmills.

“This decision to exercise some stock options and sell those underlying shares in a private sale to MSD Partners was John’s decision, based on his own financial planning,” Peloton said in a statement.

Foley was replaced as CEO by former Spotify and Netflix CFO Barry McCarthy, who told Peloton employees last month the founder won’t be “scaling back” his role at the company.

Led by former Goldman Sachs executive Greg Lemkau, MSD Partners manages more than $20 billion in assets for Dell and other investors.

Lemkau told Bloomberg that Peloton “is an exceptional brand and MSD Partners is pleased to have this opportunity to back Barry McCarthy and the Peloton team as they position the business for long-term growth.”

The stock sale could antagonize Foley’s critics as Peloton seeks to turn around its business. Foley’s leadership at Peloton drew mounting scrutiny prior to his exit as CEO.

As The Post previously reported, activist investor Blackwells Capital – one of Foley’s harshest critics – slammed the founder in January for selling stock while the company and its shareholders struggled.

“All the while, shareholders have lost nearly $40 billion in wealth. Mr. Foley, in contrast, has sold stock regularly and repeatedly, reaping more than $115 million in proceeds,” Blackwells Capital said in a scathing letter to Peloton’s board calling for Foley’s dismissal.

The Peloton founder previously sold nearly $100 million in stock in 2021, according to the Wall Street Journal. A representative for Peloton declined further comment.

Foley’s tenure also resulted in some internal discord, with insiders grumbling about his decisions to cancel a holiday party for corporate staffers and buy a $55 million mansion in the Hamptons while the company faced a financial crunch.

Foley stepped aside as part of a major restructuring at Peloton. The company laid off about 20% of its corporate workforce, or roughly 2,800 employees, and canceled plans for a $400 million factory in Ohio.

Peloton said the layoffs and other cost-cutting measures would eventually result in $800 million in annual savings.

McCarthy said the job cuts were unavoidable because Peloton’s financial structure would have been “unsustainable” over the long term.

Amazon Regroups in U.S. and UK: Shutters Bookstores, 4-Star Outlets

Amazon announced Wednesday it will close some physical outlets including all of its bookstores, plus 4-star shops and pop up locations in the name of rebranding its physical image.

The global e-commerce retail giant said this decision will affect 66 stores in the United States and two in the United Kingdom, but declined to mention how many Amazon employees will be affected – whether their contracts will be terminated or reassigned elsewhere.

Amazon has however said those affected can opt between receiving severance pay or they can accept help from the company in finding a job in another part of the company.

“We remain committed to building great, long-term physical retail experiences and technologies and we’re working closely with our affected employees to help them find new roles within Amazon”, an Amazon spokesperson said, AP reports.

The company which is headquartered in Seattle has said it plans to focus on expanding its Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market – which Amazon purchased in 2017 – its more traditional convenience concept called Amazon Go and its upcoming Amazon Style stores that offer more fashion-oriented products.

Experts have suggested Amazon’s decision is fuelled by the decline of the high street, where fewer people are visiting stores in person and opting to purchase items online.

Ukrainian Forces Account: Surrendering Russian Artillerymen Will Be ‘Slaughtered Like Pigs’

A verified Ukrainian military account warned that Russian artillerymen trying to surrender would be “slaughtered like pigs” in a now-edited Facebook post after reports of heavy shelling in some cities.

In a bombastic post initially uploaded to a verified social media account on Wednesday, the Ukrainian account sent sarcastic greetings to “Russian artillerymen” who they said had been targeting “our peaceful cities, our relatives, children, loved ones” with “severe shelling”.

The post suggested that the Russian “worms” might find it easy to strike their targets — “little children, old people, houses, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals” — because they could not see them at a distance, but vowed that there would be nothing easy about the gunners’ experience in the ongoing conflict.

“We already have information about you,” the post claimed, before issuing a stark warning that “From now on, there will be no more captured Russian artillerymen. No mercy, no ‘please do not kill, I surrender’ will not pass” and threatening that they would be “slaughtered like pigs.”

“Call your mother one last time. Say you’ll die soon, jackal,” the post added, concluding: “We are not death, we are worse!”

While the post’s initial response appeared to be largely positive, some users suggested that following through on a threat to take no prisoners would violate the laws of war, and denying quarter to the enemy is classified as a war crime by the International Criminal Court, which has jurisdiction in Ukraine.

Early on Thursday morning, possibly as a result of these comments, the post was edited to remove the references to Russian gunners attempting to surrender being “slaughtered” — although the warning that “We already have information about you” and the advice to “Call your mother one last time” remain unchanged — but the original version remained viewable in the post’s edit history as of the time of publication.

Shortly after the post was edited, the account shared another post purporting to show a Russian artilleryman who had been taken prisoner making a call to his wife and children.

“While [his] daughter slept peacefully at home in Russia, her father killed Ukrainian children with jet fire system,” the post said, claiming the man had realised “the horror of what was happening [and] made a wise decision and gave up, falling under the Geneva Convention” — likely an attempt to assure outside observers that prisoners of war are not, in fact, being “slaughtered”.

Russia has obstinately denied claims it targets civilians, and, moreover, has accused Ukrainian forces of deliberately deploying heavy weapons and other military assets in civilian areas.

“[T]his is done intentionally, to provoke retaliatory strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on residents of settlements. The Ukrainian nationalist leadership uses the same methods as the terrorists,” a Russian defence spokesman has alleged.

Sanctions Loophole: SWIFT Exemption Europe Lets Itself Pay for Russian Gas

As the European Union looks to ban several banks from the SWIFT financial system, a bank linked to the sale of Russian gas is said to be exempt from the ban.

The European Union sanctions will affect several major Russian banks and cut them off from SWIFT, a Belgian-based financial telecommunication system that functions to allow financial transactions and payments to take place between banks across the globe.

However, at least two Russian banks will reportedly be exempt from the sanctions, including Gazprombank, the bank partially owned by Russia’s major energy corporation Gazprom, Bloomberg reports.

Gazprombank is said to be a “key bank for Russia’s energy conglomerates,” according to Bloomberg, which could exclude Russian energy from the proposed sanctions.

Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank that holds around half of the deposits in Russia and has over a hundred million customers and clients, is also exempt from the SWIFT ban.

The report comes after some European countries, including Germany, were initially hesitant about cutting Russian banks off from the SWIFT system due to their reliance on Russian energy and current energy reserves, such as natural gas, being at low levels.

Last month, a spokeswoman for the German ministry for the economy and climate admitted that the country’s gas reserves were at “worrying” levels. Germany imports around 55 per cent of its natural gas from Russia.

Russian gas shipments continue to Europe unabated, adding to the impression that European sanctions are extremely selective to what doesn’t cause inconvenience. Over 100 million cubic meters of gas was delivered from Russia on Wednesday, and a Gazprom spokesman said energy was being exported from Russia to Europe “as per normal”.

The exclusion of Gazprombank comes after Italy demanded that its luxury goods companies not be subject to another set of sanctions aimed at Russia last month.

Italy’s Prime Minister Mario Draghi was able to get exemptions for luxury goods manufacturers, leading to criticism from one EU diplomat who commented, “Apparently selling Gucci loafers to oligarchs is more of a priority than hitting back at Putin.”

The Belgian government had also reportedly also been successful at gaining sanctions exemptions for its diamond industry.

The United Kingdom and the United States have both been firm advocates for sanctions against Russia, including the proposal to ban Russian banks from SWIFT.

“These measures demonstrate our determination to apply severe economic sanctions in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak said earlier this week, commenting on proposed sanctions targetted against Russia’s central bank.

“We are announcing this action in rapid coordination with our US and European allies to move in lockstep once more with our international partners, to demonstrate our steadfast resolve in imposing the highest costs on Russia and to cut her off from the international financial system so long as this conflict persists,” Sunak added.

Ukrainian delegation arrives for talks with Russia in Belovezhskaya Pushcha

The talks were expected to kick off at 15:00 Moscow time

The Ukrainian delegation has arrived by helicopters to the venue of talks with Russia in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, TASS reports from the site.

Earlier on Thursday, the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, said the talks would be held in the Brest Region of Belarus, as planned. They were expected to kick off at 15:00 Moscow time.

On February 28, the first round of Russian-Ukrainian talks took place in the Gomel region, lasting five hours. The Russian delegation was led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who said that the Russian delegation was ready to speak with the Ukrainian side for as long as it may take to reach agreements.

Greater Israel - oded yinon

Interior minister predicts tens of thousands of new immigrants from Ukraine, Russia

Ayelet Shaked orders 3-month suspension of need for a police background check on those fleeing the conflict, says wave of arrivals will be sent to boost Negev communities

Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked said Israel believes a huge number of Jewish refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine could immigrate to Israel and instructed her office on Thursday to allow them to move to Israel without the need for a police background check.

“We think tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of immigrants will arrive from Russia, Ukraine, and former Soviet states,” Shaked said Thursday during a conference with local council leaders at the Golan Regional Council.

The interior minister said that next month the government will make a decision to set up seven to 12 new communities in the southern Negev region of the country.

Shaked said the new communities will bolster the Negev and will be necessary to absorb the expected wave of new immigrants.

Noting that there is a national housing crisis, she asked: “What will happen when new immigrants reach us from Ukraine and Russia?”

“Even though we’re at full throttle now, we’ll need [to build] even more [homes]” requiring “aggressive and rapid” construction to accommodate the mass arrivals, she said.

Shaked later tweeted that she had ordered a three-month suspension on the requirement for a notarized police background check for immigrants from Russia and Ukraine to ease their immigration to Israel.

“Whoever wants to immigrate to Israel can do it fast,” she wrote.

The Ministerial Committee for Immigration and Absorption is slated to hold a meeting about the situation in Ukraine on Monday, Army Radio reported.

Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai told Army Radio on Thursday that so far 350 Ukrainians have reached Israel, six of whom were rejected due to some aspect of their past.

He said the government needs to formulate a proper policy “in order to bring in those people without relatives or friends in Israel as well.”

Arizona Gov. Ducey says won't run for Senate, challenge Democrat Kelly to win seat for Republicans

The decision may disappoint some top D.C. Republicans who had reportedly been encouraging a run

Arizona GOP Gov. Doug Ducey has dashed some Republicans hopes that he'll run against incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly.

In a letter to some of his donors, Ducey said that after the end of his eighth year (and second term) as governor, he will end his public service career.

"When asked about a potential run for the U.S. Senate in January 2021, I gave a simple answer: 'No.' In the intervening months a number of people have asked me to reconsider. I’m honored by the confidence and interest you’ve shown in my public career. My mind hasn’t changed," he wrote.

Ducey said he believes it's important to "really want the job," if you're going to run for public office.

"Right now I have the job I want, and my intention is to close my years of service to Arizona with a very productive final legislation session AND to help elect Republican governors across the country in my role as chairman of the Republican Governors Association," he continued.

Prior to his stint as governor (and one term as state treasurer before that), Ducey was the CEO of Cold Stone Creamery.

Among those who have courted Ducey is Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who believes the governor is the GOP's best shot at reclaiming the seat vacated by the late GOP Sen. John McCain.

Ducey once enjoyed a close relationship with former President Trump, but the bond turned sour following the 2020 election, when Trump pressured Ducey to take more action to overturn the results of the Arizona electorate, which handed Joe Biden a very slim victory.

There are a number of Republicans already in the race to replace Kelly – though none with as high a profile as Ducey.

Among them is businessman Jim Lamon, who recently responded directly to Kelly's first ad of the cycle with an indictment of the senator and former astronaut's policies.

Peter Thiel associated venture capitalist Blake Masters, is also in the race, running a campaign that has so far focused in large part on the American family.

Ducey joins a number of fellow Republicans governors who passed on the opportunity to join the upper chamber in Washington, D.C.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu recently disappointed his GOP supporters by opting not to challenge Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan. And Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said he would not challenge Democrat Sen. Chris Van Hollen.

Sununu and Hogan are reportedly exploring potential presidential campaigns.

Israeli military may continue operations in Syria despite condemning Russia

Despite the war between Russia and Ukraine and after Israel condemned Russia, Russia's attitude towards IDF operations in Syria remains the same.

The Russian-Israeli deconfliction mechanism in Syria which allows the IDF to operate against Iran and its proxies will continue despite Jerusalem's vote to condemn Moscow's invasion of Ukraine at the United Nations General Assembly, the Russian Ambassador Anatoly Viktorov told reporters in Tel Aviv on Thursday.

The mechanism helps ensure "the safety and security of our army," he said.

Regarding the UN vote, Viktorov said Moscow understood Israel's concern for the safety of its citizens and the Jewish community in Ukraine.

He added, however, that Russia had "some reasons to expect from the Israeli authorities to understand better than others its decision" to act militarily in Ukraine.

On Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Viktorov said he had not been privy to the conversation. He said, however, he believed it was premature to discuss a role for Bennett as a mediator.

Bennett has been in conversation both with Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky since the start of the war last Thursday and has spoken of Israeli mediation efforts.

"It's too premature to discuss any possible mediation role" for Bennett, Viktorov said.

Viktorov denied reports that the Russian military had attacked civilian targets in Ukraine accused the government in Kyiv of "unleashing terror against its citizens.

"We want to live in peace with the people of Ukraine," he added.

Viktorov said that when Moscow spoke of Nazis in Ukraine, they were not referring to Zelensky, but stressed that his government had supported neo-Nazis and emphasized that antisemitism existed in Ukraine.

"We are not calling him [Zelensky] a Nazi," he said.

"It is disingenuous, however, to deny this just on the basis of the fact that Zelensky is Jewish," Viktorov said.

"The Ukrainians are saying there is no antisemitism because our president is Jewish," Viktororv said adding, "come on" to show how little regard he had for that assertion.

Energy Secretary Grandholm Admits Biden Economic Pain and Gas Prices all Part of New Energy Transition

It was only a matter of time before someone had to admit what the instructions were within the Biden administration. Today, the video surfaces showcasing Energy Secretary Jennifer Grandholm making the admission.

During a The U.S. Department of Energy roundtable on February 28, 2022, launching the Biden administration Better Climate Challenge initiative, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm explained the core of the Biden energy policy. Underneath all the blocks to oil and gas development is the larger objective to transition away from fossil fuels to Green New Deal climate change initiatives.

$10/gal gasoline is a feature, it is part of the plan. Rising electricity rates and massive increases in home heating and cooling costs is part of the plan. The downstream impacts of inflation inside the entire U.S. economy are structural issues to be managed. The financial pain to the U.S. citizen is the biggest problem they need to manage.

Within this ‘transition’ process the administration needs something they can point to as a false justification. That’s where the Ukraine-Russia conflict serves their current interests. The Biden team need Americans to blame something or someone else, as they execute this policy. First it was COVID, now it’s Vladimir Putin. All of this is being done on purpose. WATCH:

Australia’s record breaking wave of Covid-19 sees Fully Vaccinated account for 9 in every 10 ICU Admissions & 4 in every 5 Deaths

Australia has just experienced its largest wave of Covid-19 cases, hospitalisations and deaths to date despite the fact the country is in the middle of summer, and despite the fact leaders spent the majority of 2021 coercing the public into taking an experimental Covid-19 vaccine.

But official data published by the Government in Australia confirms this record breaking wave has been anything but a pandemic of the unvaccinated, and instead shows the fully vaccinated population accounted for 4 in every 5 Covid-19 cases, 9 in every 10 hospitalisations, 9 in every 10 ICU admissions, and 4 in every 5 Covid-19 deaths.

The most recent data made available in Australia covers data on Covid-19 up to 5th Feb 22, and it was published 23rd Feb by the New South Wales Government.

The report contains a host of tedious data on Covid-19, but the part of the report we’re specifically interested can be found on page 8, and it covers the statistics on Covid-19 cases, hospitalisations, ICU admissions, and deaths by vaccination status between 26th November 2021 (the date Omicron emerged) and 5th Feb 22.

The latest wave to hit the country peaked around the 4th Feb 22, so the available data tells us exactly who accounted for the majority of cases, hospitalisations and deaths on the rise to the summit of that peak.

White House Says It Will Veto Bill Ending COVID-19 National Emergency If Passed

The White House opposes a bill that would end the COVID-19 national emergency, it announced March 3, hours before a Senate vote was planned on the measure.

Senate Joint Resolution 38 would terminate the emergency declared by former President Donald Trump on March 13, 2020, which was extended multiple times by President Joe Biden.

Terminating the declaration would “unnecessarily and abruptly curtail the ability of the Administration to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the Executive Office of the President said in a statement.

“COVID-19 has posed an unprecedented public health challenge for the United States. Although we have made tremendous progress in combating the virus and are moving forward safely, the virus continues to pose a risk to the American people and our health care system. We must also be prepared for possible future variants,” it added.

Passing the bill “would be a reckless and costly mistake,” the White House said, adding that if Congress does pass it, Biden will veto it.

A vote is scheduled on the bill at approximately 2 p.m. in Washington.

Trump invoked the emergency in 2020 and Biden extended it once in February 2021 and again before it was set to expire on March 1. Declaring an emergency enables presidents to take certain actions, including closing crossings along the southern and northern borders.

Biden said in a recent statement that the COVID-19 pandemic “continues to cause significant risk to the public health and safety of the nation.”

History lesson needed

Bill Barr has been an American traitor since at least 1992

Conservatives must be suffering from some kind of amnesia because it is common knowledge that Barr worked back in the early ’90s as attorney general under George H.W. Bush, one of the most corrupt swamp creatures in our nation’s history. Like Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Barr has been a staple in establishment politics for decades, having spearheaded some of the earliest known instances of warrantless surveillance against innocent Americans, as one prominent example.
