Joe Biden is weighing whether to impose sanctions against staunch US Ally India over its stockpiles of Russian military equipment.

India is the largest democracy in the world and have been moving closer to the US in recent years especially under President Trump.

It doesn’t matter to the Biden regime that India bought the military equipment before Russia invaded Ukraine.

China will be thrilled with the news. The Chi-coms are staunch Russia supporters and are working closely with the Putin regime. But Biden is not threatening sanctions on China. Maybe its the millions Joe and Hunter pocketed from the communist regime?

India and China are currently in conflict in the contested border in the region of Ladakh. So guess who else this helps?

The Biden administration is weighing whether to impose sanctions against India over its stockpile of and reliance on Russian military equipment as part of the wide-ranging consequences the West is seeking to impose on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine.

Donald Lu, the assistant secretary of State for South Asian affairs, on Thursday told lawmakers in a hearing that the administration is weighing how threatening India’s historically close military relationship with Russia is to U.S. security.

“It’s a question we’re looking at very closely, as the administration is looking at the broader question over whether to apply sanctions under CAATSA or to waive those sanctions,” Lu said.

Russia Invokes Trump's Stolen Election Claim in U.N. Speech

Russia tried on Wednesday to delegitimize United Nations criticism of its invasion of Ukraine by calling into question the actions of other countries, including the United States' "overthrowing" of former President Donald Trump.

The U.N. passed a resolution Wednesday that condemned Russia's invasion and called for an immediate and complete withdrawal of all military forces from Ukraine. Russia forcefully rejected the resolution, calling claims the country was targeting civilians "fake" and saying other countries were hypocritical for supporting the resolution. Vassily Nebenzia, Russia's ambassador to the U.N., even said the United States, which supported the resolution, was "where the legitimately elected president of the country was overthrown."

More than a year after that election, Trump still maintains that he is the rightful winner and continues to assert allegations of election fraud. While there were some cases of fraud, as there are in every election, Trump and his allies have failed to prove there was significant and widespread fraud that could have changed the outcome. Still, many of his supporters have pushed for changes to the nation's voting system and called for reforms to prevent what they believe occurred at the polls in 2020 from happening again.

During his speech at the U.N., Nebenzia also targeted the resolution for not mentioning the "illegal coup" in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, in 2014. The "Revolution of Honor" began with students pushing then-President Viktor Yanukovych and then-Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to sign an agreement with the European Union. It snowballed into a revolution that overthrew the government, sparking a counterrevolution in the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine and Russia's annexation of Crimea.

NSW Liberal Party temporarily dissolved after months of factional infighting

The NSW Liberal Party will be temporarily dissolved and sitting MPs protected from preselection after months of factional infighting.

Scott Morrison and Premier Dominic Perrottet will step in and run the NSW Liberal Party under a federal intervention order sparked by months of factional infighting.

The federal executive voted on Friday to intervene and try and resolve the mess with multiple candidates in key seats still not settled as a result of the mess, just weeks out from the expected announcement of a federal election.

The Prime Minister had backed the intervention if the NSW branch was unable to resolve the matter.

In a statement, the Liberal Party Federal Executive confirmed it has “resolved unanimously to intervene”.

A committee will now run the branch.

“The term of the appointment of the Committee commenced immediately upon the passing of this resolution and ends at 5.00pm on Tuesday 8 March 2022,” a spokesman said.

“The intervention ground is based on the circumstance that decisions have not been made in relation to the endorsement of three incumbent Liberal Members of Parliament as Liberal candidates to recontest their seats in the electorates of Farrer, North Sydney and Mitchell.

“The Committee may select and endorse a candidate for each of these seats.

“The Committee shall be comprised of Mrs Christine McDiven, Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Premier Dominic Perrottet.

“The Federal Executive today also resolved unanimously to request the NSW Division of the Liberal Party to rectify the circumstance that candidates have not been selected and endorsed in other House of Representatives seats and for this to be resolved by Friday 25 March 2022.”

The decision means Liberal frontbencher Alex Hawke, who angered colleagues by failing to turn up to key meetings delaying the process will not face a challenge.

Liberal frontbencher Sussan Ley and Liberal MP Trent Zimmerman will contest the next election without facing a preselection.

However, furious Liberals who demanded rank and file votes have already signalled they will challenge the decision in the courts.
