People at the top of the Russian military are informed (unlike the population) and they know the rickety state of affairs.. and the risk of a quick collapse in Russian citizen support for war

That support is already crumbling and Russian citizens are out en masse this Sunday in Moscow.

Putin has taken defensive measures to physically protect his regime by standing up road side barriers and positioning troops and police all over the place (just like Joe Biden in Washington DC).

 

As far as global thermonuclear war being unleashed, Putin will not be able to press the red button to destroy the whole world all by himself. There is more than one person making that decision, and there is the very high probability at least someone will jump off the MAD suicide bandwagon. And there are a lot of people in Russia who dont want to commit national suicide by global thermonuclear warefare.

Putin is arresting his own people in Moscow today for not supporting his invasion of Ukraine.

Protests in Moscow are happening and the numbers of people coming out to voice their displeasure is growing.

Putin is in serious trouble.

Putin has set up barriers and stationed police around Moscow.

The anti-war protests of Russia have begun.

Putin has lost the support of the people and his regime is in peril of collapsing like the USSR communists of the 1990's.

yep… everyone knows Potato is illegitimate and he will have his own Trucker Convoy protest threatening his regime.

Putin is also realizing he made a huge mistake invading Ukraine and now his regime is crumbling under the sore displeasure of a pissed off Russian population.

 

There are a lot of heads of state in major countries whose days are shortly numbered.
