Kiev accuses Ukrainian MP of state treason

The prosecutor general is seeking to put the opposition politician and long-time Zelensky critic on an international wanted list

Ukrainian law enforcement has accused opposition MP Ilya Kiva of state treason. The nation’s prosecutor general, Irina Venediktova, informed the lawmaker about her agency’s decision in a fiery Facebook post on Sunday, accusing him of “doing everything” to invite the “Russian aggressors” to Ukraine.

Kiva’s actions have dealt “colossal damage” to Ukraine, Venediktova said, warning that he will face “no other destiny” than arrest, extradition, and trial. She did not list any specific actions that earned the MP a place on Ukraine’s “list of suspects,” but instead accused him of “doing everything” to make Ukraine’s borders “change,” forcing millions of Ukrainians out of the country, and making “millions of Ukrainians hide in bombs shelters.”

Venediktova, apparently referring to the ongoing Russian military invasion of Ukraine, said her words were based on, “not emotion,”but a list of “facts.”

Kiva, a former member of the ‘Opposition Platform — For Life’ party, has long been a fierce critic of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kiev’s pro-NATO policies.

In a recent interview, theMP slammed the US and NATO for using Ukraine as “bait” to provoke Russia into a conflict. Washington and its allies tricked Zelensky and then just threw Ukraine away, he said. “The worst thing is that the Ukrainian people have gone down” along with the government in Kiev, Kiva added.

The MP has long advocated for neutral status for Ukraine and opposed the nation’s aspirations to join NATO. After Moscow launched its miliary operation in Ukraine, Kiva accused Zelensky of provoking the bloodshed.

“As a citizen of Ukraine, I must fight for my nation to join NATO… But I do not want into NATO, I want to live in an independent country that remains non-aligned and can serve as a bridge between East and West,” Kiva said on March 1.

His statements put him at odds with his own party, which banished the MP from its ranks in late February, accusing him of “impeding”peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.

Speaking on the prosecutor general’s decision on Saturday, Kiva said he had long been aware of plans to accuse him of treason, and left Ukraine as early as January 30. The lawmaker first flew to Spain and then moved to Moscow. He also warned Ukrainian law enforcement that they will soon have to “answer for the travesty of justice.”

Putin reveals conditions for offensive in Ukraine to stop

The Russian president told his Turkish counterpart that nationalists use civilians as human shields

Kiev must cease fighting and fulfill all of Moscow’s demands in order for the Russian invasion of Ukraine to stop, President Vladimir Putin told Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday.

Moscow’s ‘special operation’ in the neighboring country “will come to a halt only if Kiev stops its military action and fulfills the demands of Russia, which are well known,”Putin explained during the phone call, according to the Kremlin’s press service.

The president assured Erdogan that Russia is ready for dialogue with the Ukrainian side, as well as with foreign partners, in order to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.

However, he warned that any attempts to drag out the negotiations, which could be used by Ukraine to regroup its forces and assets, will be “self-defeating.”

The Russian military does everything possible to protect the lives of civilians, only carrying out surgical strikes on Ukrainian military facilities, Putin added. “In this context, the actions of the nationalists – the neo-Nazi units – look particularly cruel and cynical as they continue intensive shelling of Donbass and use civilians, including foreigners, who are basically taken hostage, as a ‘human shield’ in Ukrainian cities and towns,” he said.

According to Erdogan’s office, he tried to persuade Putin that an urgent general ceasefire is necessary in Ukraine in order to provide humanitarian aid to the population and to create the conditions for a political solution.

“Let’s pave the way for peace together,” the Turkish president urged his Russian counterpart on the phone.

Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s eagerness to contribute to the settlement of the crisis through mediation and other diplomatic means. Ankara has remained in close contact with Kiev and other countries on the issue, he added.

Turkey, which is a Black Sea nation like Russia and Ukraine, enjoys good relations with both Moscow and Kiev. Though a NATO member, Turkey has been trying to maintain a neutral stance since Russia sent its troops into Ukraine last Thursday to “denazify” and “demilitarize” the country, which it blames for “genocide” in the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. Kiev and its Western allies claim the attack was completely unprovoked.

Turkey has condemned the Russian invasion and supported Ukrainian territorial integrity, but also opposed the harsh international sanctions, designed to isolate Moscow. The government in Ankara is hoping to stage talks between the Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers next week in southern Turkey. So far, the idea has been welcomed by Moscow and Kiev.

Ukraine appears to confirm death of negotiator dubbed ‘traitor’ by media

The former banker participated in peace talks with Russia from Kiev’s side

Kiev has said that Denis Kireev, a secret agent on a mission from Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, has died. Earlier reports claimed that a man with the same name was killed by Ukrainian secret services as a suspected traitor.

Ukraine’s Chief Directorate of Intelligence said on Saturday that Kireev was among three agents killed in the line of duty. “They have died, protecting Ukraine,” the military intelligence agency wrote on social media, without elaborating.

News of Kireev’s death has caused some confusion after Ukrainian media initially reported that the country’s own domestic security service, the SBU, strongly believed Kireev was a spy and had killed him during an apparent arrest attempt.

Ukrayinska Pravda newspaper quoted sources as saying that SBU agents had “clear” evidence of high treason and had tapped Kireev’s phone. However, other reports claimed that the SBU was not involved in the man’s death, and that someone wanted to frame the agency. The SBU has not commented on the matter.

Kireev was reportedly a member of Ukraine’s negotiation team during peace talks with Russia in Belarus on Monday. Although he was not on the official list of negotiators released by Kiev, Ukrainian media claimed that he was photographed sitting alongside other negotiators at the table with the Russians.

Kireev was described as a former financier and private equity fund manager, who in the past held a high-level position at the State Savings Bank of Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine last week, arguing that it was defending the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, which broke off from Kiev shortly after the 2014 coup. Moscow said it sought “demilitarization and denazification” of the country, without elaborating, but made it clear that it wants Ukraine to officially become a neutral country, renouncing its bid to join NATO.

Kiev said the attack was entirely unprovoked and appealed to the international community for help, accusing Russia of aggression.

The next round of peace talks is scheduled on Monday, according to Ukraine.

Sunday Talks, Secretary Blinken Says Poland has Green Light to Send Fighter Jets to Ukraine, U.S. Will Replace

March 6, 2022 | Sundance |

Appearing on Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken states Poland has the “green light” from the U.S. and NATO to provide fighter planes to the Ukraine military.

Secretary Blinken notes the U.S. will “backfill” Poland (terms ongoing), which means the U.S. is willing to replace each of the Polish planes with U.S. fighter jet replacements. Obviously, the industrial military complex would approve of this plan; however, who pays and what authorities of this arms deal with Poland apply?

Setting aside the pilots of Poland that would need training and accepting there could be some long-term maintenance issues for equipment they may not be equipped to maintain, the nationalist political ideology of Poland is not in alignment with Obama/Biden.Will the U.S. government seek to change the social system in Poland as an outcome of a weakened Polish arsenal? You betcha. WATCH:

Bottom line, the U.S. and NATO are getting more involved. The U.S. State Dept, the rogue construct within the Fourth Branch of Government, is trying to turn World War Reddit/Tik Tok into a hot war of NATO against Russia, despite their protestations to the contrary.

The DoS would be perfectly happy if Ukraine became a long-term insurgency campaign with Russia. Volodymyr Zelenskyy should be careful, because his position as a useful martyr is becoming more evident. It’s will not be Russian hit-squads targeting Zelenskyy, it will be CIA operatives. Wait for it….

CBS continued the propaganda push after the Blinken interview with David Martin engineering the narrative surrounding Russian troop movements inside Ukraine. Martin doesn’t know what the Russian military is doing, he’s giving the official U.S. line which supports the campaign for, as Tony Blinken put it, “hearts and minds.”

Authoritarian Trudeau Denounces Authoritarian Putin, Weeks After Canada Targeted Political Protestors for Arrest

March 5, 2022 | sundance | 156 Comments

In order for the most entrenched leftist ideologues to maintain their ideological agenda, they must pretend not to know things.

Two days after he announced the U.S. workforce vaccine mandate, in Shanksville Pennsylvania, Joe Biden said that both Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin were “autocrats” who dictate to the citizens of their nations. Biden noted in conversations with them – those leaders have questioned the viability of ‘western democracy.‘ This statement came a mere 36 hours after Joe Biden said he “has lost patience” with half the nation, and as an outcome, was going to FORCE a mandatory injection (COVID “vaccine”) into the arms of every citizen who wanted to work. The media ignored the contrast as if they could not see the inherent hypocrisy.

Yesterday, in a speech to a Ukraian delegation in Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had the nerve to talk about the “slipping of democracy” as a result of “greater authoritarianism”, only a few weeks after Trudeau invoked the emergency act and triggered financial targeting against protestors who assembled against his regime. Again, the media ignore the inherent hypocrisy…

March 5, 2022 | sundance | 326 Comments

After years of anxiety within the European Union, as an outcome of a minor movement within the U.K to trigger Brexit, the multinational financial corporations in consultation with the European Commission, NATO and Central Bankers have determined it is in their interest to select a British prime minister who will void the Brexit vote.

Tomorrow at 4:00pm GMT, a new British Prime Minister will be announced. In advance of the announcement, and representing the global alliance of financial interests, VISA and Mastercard released the following statement:

“We are compelled to act following Great Britian’s unprecedented diminishment of the European Union, and the unacceptable events that we have witnessed,” said Al Kelly, chairman and chief executive officer of Visa Inc. “We regret the impact this will have on the misguided Brexit supporters, and on the colleagues, clients, partners, merchants and cardholders we serve in the U.K. This Brexit crisis and the ongoing threat to peace and stability in the EU, demand we respond in line with our values.”

[Now, Do We Have Your Attention?]

This post is obviously sarcasm. However, the intent is to draw attention to the precedent currently underway. With the Visa/Mastercard action & intent against Russia in mind, are you sure you’re okay with multinational corporations choosing, approving or disapproving of national political leadership?

Below is a short list of the multinational corporations who have expressed their intent to choose who will be the President of [any country] targeted by the New World Order.

UK journalists praised by PM as one-sided evidence suggests they were hit by Russians in Kiev

A Sky News crew have accused a Russian squad of firing at them – after the Ukrainian forces told the reporters so

British prime minister Boris Johnson has commended the bravery of Sky News journalists, who were shot near the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Monday. The TV crew thought they had been attacked by a Ukrainian army checkpoint. But local forces told them later a “saboteur Russian reconnaissance squad” was to blame for the shooting.

Chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay was shot in the lower back, while videographer Richie Mockler was struck by two rounds into his body armor after their car stopped due to a burst tier. Despite being hit, Ramsay, Mockler and the rest of their crew managed to flee the scene. Both are now back in the UK. “Free press will not be intimidated or cowed by barbaric and indiscriminate acts of violence,” Johnson tweeted in the wake of the incident.

The courage of the media workers was “astonishing,” he wrote, adding that they were “risking their lives to ensure that the truth is told.”

The crew said they had managed to flee the shooting and hours later had been rescued by the Ukrainian police. “We didn’t know it at the time, but we were later told by the Ukrainians that we were being ambushed by a saboteur Russian reconnaissance squad. It was professional, the rounds kept smashing into the car – they didn’t miss,” Ramsay said. No other information about the attackers was made available.

Ramsay went even further, insisting that “thousands of Ukrainians are dying, and families are being targeted by Russian hit squads just as we were, driving along in a family saloon and attacked.” The journalist didn’t provide any proof to back the claim.

Russian troops were sent into Ukraine last Thursday to “denazify” and “demilitarize” the Kiev government, which – according to Moscow – is perpetrating “genocide” in the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. Ukraine has been denying those accusations, claiming that it was under an unprovoked attack by the neighbor.

Russia blamed the West for waging an “information war” against it amid the conflict and responded by blockingFacebook, Twitter and some foreign financed media outlets.

The country also adopted a law that made deliberate spread of “fake news” about the Russian military punishable by up to 15 years in jail and a huge fine. The harsh legislation prompted the likes of theBBC, CNN, ABC News, CBS News, Bloomberg and Radio Free Europe/Radio Libertyto halt their operations in Russia and shut down their offices.

Ukraine: Why ‘OU’ Lost by a LandslideApril 22, 2019

The answer is clear if you read U.S. documents published by WikiLeaks in 2006, writes Kevin Zeese.

By Kevin Zeese

PopularResistance.org

With his landslide victory, Volodymyr Zelensky, a comedian who won 73 percent of the vote, will become the president of Ukraine. Understanding how this occurred becomes easy when people review U.S. government documents published by WikiLeaks about outgoing President Petro Poroshenko.

Who is “OU?” Our Ukraine.

In a classified diplomatic cable from 2006 released by WikiLeaks, U.S. officials refer to Poroshenko as “Our Ukraine (OU) insider Petro Poroshenko.” Our Ukraine has been in the pocket of the U.S. for 13 years.

The U.S. knew Poroshenko was corrupt. A separate cable released by WikiLeaks makes that clear. The May 2006 cable states: “Poroshenko was tainted by credible corruption allegations, but wielded significant influence within OU; Poroshenko’s price had to be paid.”

Allowing his corruption was a price the U.S. was willing to pay to have Our Ukraine serving as president.

The document also describes the “bad blood” between Poroshenko and Yuliya Tymoshenko. This bad blood continues to this day as Tymoshenko came in third in the first round of the elections, and it seemed to continue through the general election, as those who voted for her, voted for Zelensky — or against Poroshenko.

Here is how the memo describes the Tymoshenko-Poroshenko relationship: “there is a thin line between love and hate” it says and describes how Tymoshenko and Poroshenko might appear in public, shake hands and agree to “do business” together, but that a coalition between them was unlikely to last.

Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, who is expected to announce a 2020 run for president, is emblematic of the corruption of the U.S. in Ukraine.

As WikiLeaks reports, Biden pledged U.S. financial and technical assistance to Ukraine for “unconventional” gas resources (i.e. fracking). Biden’s son Hunter was put on the board of the largest private gas company in Ukraine (along with a financier and long-time family friend of former Secretary of State John Kerry) and when that gas company was threatened with investigation, with video cameras rolling at the Council on Foreign Relations, [starts at 52.00] Biden described how he threatened Poroshenko in March 2016, saying that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion. Biden claimed he gave the country six hours to fire the prosecutor before he left Ukraine or he would bankrupt the country. OU fired him.

Why did Biden want him fired? The prosecutor was leading a wide-ranging corruption investigation into the natural gas firm – while Biden’s son, Hunter, sat on the board of directors. Corruption is a major problem in Ukraine, and Biden contributed to it, bringing U.S. corruption to Ukraine.

After Poroshenko replaced the prosecutor with one to Biden’s liking a WikiLeaksdocument shows he was prepared to move forward with the signing of the third $1 billion loan guarantee agreement.

Now the two pro-U.S. politicians, Tymoshenko and Poroshenko, have been replaced by a political unknown in Zelensky, or “Ze,” as he’s more popularly known. The incoming president has been vague on what policies he will pursue but says he wants to negotiate peace with Russia over eastern Ukraine, saying he was prepared to negotiate directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine is sick of corruption. Adding to Poroshenko’s corruption, the U.S. brought more corruption. Not surprisingly, corruption under Poroshenko worsened. The country is tired of the conflict between Kiev and East Ukraine and Zelensky said he would try to end the war. And, the country has become the poorest in Europe as the promise of close ties with the U.S. have not resulted in the benefits promised.

While the country has gotten poorer, Poroshenko remains one of the wealthiest men in Ukraine. He has been surrounded by corruption scandals as various businessmen close to him have been caught up in scandals involving corruption. The common view is Ukraine has gotten poorer as Poroshenko has gotten richer.

All this was predictable with what the U.S. knew about OU, and thanks to WikiLeaksshould not be a surprise to anyone.
