State Department Hire Oversaw UN’s Terrorist Textbook Program

Elizabeth Campbell directed a U.N. agency using textbooks that glorified terrorism

The Biden administration has hired the former director of a United Nations agency accused of promoting anti-Semitism and terrorism in Palestinian schools to help oversee refugee issues and U.N. reform at the State Department.

Elizabeth Campbell was hired as deputy assistant secretary of state at the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration last month, according to reports. From 2017 to 2022, Campbell served as Washington, D.C., director of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), a U.N. agency that runs schools for Palestinian children and has used textbooks that teach anti-Semitic and pro-terrorist views.

Campbell's appointment puts her in the position of working for the same State Department bureau that provides funding and oversight for the U.N. agency she previously helped run.

Rich Goldberg, a senior adviser with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said the Biden administration's decision to hire Campbell shows it has no intention of demanding accountability from UNRWA.

"That is the height of outrage," said Goldberg, who worked on UNRWA reform issues as deputy chief of staff for former senator Mark Kirk. "It shows the Biden administration has zero agenda to achieve any semblance of reform at that agency."

Under Campbell's tenure, UNRWA was accused of disseminating anti-Semitic and anti-Israel literature. The Trump administration cut the agency's funding, and the European Parliament passed a resolution last April condemning UNRWA for textbooks that teach "hate speech and violence" in Palestinian schools run by the agency.

President Joe Biden restored UNRWA's funding last summer after the agency signed an agreement promising to reform its textbooks and allow oversight from the State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, where Campbell will now serve as deputy assistant secretary.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said last year that the administration was "determined that UNRWA pursue very necessary reforms" and stop "disseminating in its educational products anti-Semitic or anti-Israel information."

As director of UNRWA's D.C. office, Campbell vigorously defended the agency's work against criticism. She also lobbied the Biden administration to restore the organization's funding.

"UNRWA rejects allegations that it teaches hate or anti-Semitism," Campbell told the Hill in April. "We do teach human rights, conflict resolution and tolerance, and our teachers, school environments, and student graduates are a testament to these values."

Democrats unveil $1.5 trillion 2,741-page bill same day as planned vote

As the deadline to prevent government shutdown nears, House Democrats have a retreat scheduled Wednesday to Friday in Philadelphia

House Democrats unveiled a $1.5 trillion 2,741-page spending bill on Wednesday, giving Congress little time to digest and vote on the measure to prevent a government shutdown by Friday.

Exactly when members will vote is unclear, considering they have a scheduled retreat Wednesday through Friday.

"Ds planning for shutdown?," Texas Republican Sen. John Cornyn asked on Twitter. "'Even if the House votes on the [omnibus] bill before the chamber’s Democrats leave for their policy retreat midday Wednesday, it’s already too late to guarantee the Senate could pass the legislation before funding lapses at midnight Friday.'"

The large spending bill was released publicly on the House Appropriations Committee website Wednesday morning. House Democrats reportedly plan to vote before leaving for their retreat on the same day.

President Joe Biden is scheduled to address the retreat on Friday.

The spending bill includes additional COVID-19 relief funds and support for Ukraine during the Russian invasion.

"The omnibus we will pass today will make an enormous difference in families’ lives: with a $400 increase to the maximum Pell Grant, funding for President Biden’s bold initiative to end cancer, finally reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act, and so much more," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote to her Democratic colleagues on Wednesday. "It will also deliver $13.6 billion in emergency funding to support Ukraine, as it faces a diabolical attack by Russia."

Herzog advances Israel-Turkey ties in meeting with Erdogan

Ankara, Jerusalem working on exchanging ambassadors again • Turkish FM to visit Israel

ANKARA – President Isaac Herzog became the first Israeli leader to visit Turkey in over a decade on Wednesday, marking a thaw in relations between the countries.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara and Jerusalem are working toward exchanging ambassadors for the first time since 2018, which would mark the resumption of full normalization. Toward that end, Cavusoglu plans to visit Israel and meet with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid in April.

Another major result of Herzog’s meeting is that the sides agreed to establish a mechanism by which to work out disagreements, rather than the repeated withdrawals of ambassadors as Erdogan did when he opposed Israeli actions towards the Palestinians.

Herzog was greeted at the palace of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by the playing of “Hatikvah” and a 21-gun salute. “Hatikva” is the Israel national anthem and Hebrew for “The Hope.”

Under a light dusting of snow, the presidents inspected a long honor guard of soldiers in sky-blue dress uniforms with bayonets, standing along a matching carpet. In addition, a line of sword-bearing soldiers in historic uniforms and armor waited outside Erdogan’s colossal Presidential Palace, which has over 1,000 rooms.

Erdogan called Herzog’s “historic visit” a “turning point in ties between Turkey and Israel.”

“Our shared goal is to revive the political dialogue based on shared interests with respect to mutual sensitivities,” he said. “Developing relations between Turkey and Israel is of great value for our countries and stability and peace in the region. We are able to contribute to a culture of peace and coexistence in our region.”

In addition, the Turkish president said, improved bilateral relations will make it easier to handle “controversial issues.”

The Palestinians were a central topic in the meeting, according to Erdogan, who said he “expressed the importance we saw in reducing tensions in the region and preserving the vision of a two-state solution… [as well as] the status of Jerusalem and preserving the historic nature and holiness of al-Aqsa,” mosque on the Temple Mount.

Erdogan also called for Israel to allow Turkish organizations to continue humanitarian activities for the Palestinians.

Ukraine Accuses Russia of Destroying Children’s Hospital in Mariupol

Officials in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol alleged Wednesday that Russian forces bombed a children’s hospital and a maternity ward, prompting more calls from Kyiv’s government to enforce a no-fly zone.

“The Russian occupying forces have dropped several bombs on the children’s hospital. The destruction is colossal,” the city council of Mariupol said on social media, adding that a maternity ward was hit. It’s not clear if there were any casualties.

The claim that Russia attacked the hospital could not be independently verified by The Epoch Times. Previously, Russia has denied targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure as part of its campaign in Ukraine.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Russian officials have not issued any public responses to Ukraine’s claims.

Top-level officials in Kyiv’s government, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, accused Russia of carrying out the attack on the hospital.

“Mariupol. Direct strike of Russian troops at the maternity hospital. People, children are under the wreckage,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter Wednesday. “Atrocity! How much longer will the world be an accomplice ignoring terror?”

Zelensky then criticized NATO for not trying to enforce a no-fly zone over Ukraine, which Western officials say would lead to an escalation in the conflict.

“Close the sky right now! Stop the killings! You have power but you seem to be losing humanity,” he added in his Twitter post.

Earlier in March, White House officials and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said there are no plans to implement a no-fly zone over Ukraine. Stoltenberg said such a policy would have to be enforced by NATO jets shooting down Russian airplanes, which would likely lead to a wider conflict in Europe.

Capturing Mariupol, which is located in the Donbas region, would allow Russia to establish a military corridor between the Crimean Peninsula and the Lugansk and Donbass separatist areas in the Donbass.

Neocons Working to Foment Insurgency in Ukraine, Turn Country Into The Next Afghanistan

The neocons guiding the Biden regime have openly stated that the purpose of arming Ukrainians to the teeth is to foment an insurgency and drag the war on in perpetuity as part of a US proxy war with Russia.

Neocon Iraq war architect Eliot A. Cohen laid out their goals plainly in an article for neocon Jeffrey Goldberg's The Atlantic.

From The Atlantic:

The Strategy That Can Defeat Putin

The U.S.-led coalition of liberal-democratic states should pursue three objectives.

By Eliot A. Cohen | MARCH 7, 2022

Western strategy should rest on three pillars: vigorous and imaginative military support to Ukrainian regular and irregular forces; sanctions that will hobble the Russian economy; and construction of a militarily powerful European alliance that can secure the border with Russia as long as that country remains a menace.

The means at hand are obvious, even if the manner of their exploitation is not. The most obvious is the armament of Ukraine, which has already begun. It is a moral imperative. When people are willing to fight for their freedom against an enemy whose methods and aims are so clearly evil, the West owes its effectual support to those taking up arms. But it is also a strategic imperative, intended to hamstring the Russian military and weaken Putin’s position.

Support to the Ukrainian military and, should Ukrainian cities fall, to the continuing insurgency has the prospect of exceptional success. […]

Michael Vickers, who was the mastermind of the CIA program supporting the anti-Soviet campaign in Afghanistan, lays out the lessons of that campaign in his forthcoming memoir, By All Means Available. A well-armed and determined population, Vickers contends, can defeat even a brutal superpower—and Russia is no longer that. The important thing is to move at scale and with urgency in support of such an insurgency. The tide turned in Afghanistan in a relatively short period of time, when the Afghanistan Covert Action Plan went from $60 million in fiscal year 1985 to $250 million the next year, a sum doubled by Saudi support. Remarkably, the CIA did not ask for this increase and may have opposed it, but congressional supporters led by the redoubtable Charlie Wilson carried the day. In less than a year, the program went from supplying 10 metric tons of weaponry to more than six times as much. Within another year, the sum of money and resources was doubled.

Not just the sheer quantity of support but its breadth made a difference—including man-portable air-defense systems such as Stinger missiles, heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, and secure communications technology.

Chuck Schumer on Tuesday said what's happening in Ukraine is "a holocaust" and called for the US to give $12 billion in Stingers, Javelins and other deadly weaponry to help Ukrainians "defend themselves."

China-Owned Forbes Fired a Top Transparency Columnist After a Pressure Campaign from Fauci’s NIH.

It looks like U.S. government employees leaned on Forbes to fire columnist Adam Andrzejewski.

Long-time transparency advocate Adam Andrzejewski had his 8-year-long Forbes column cancelled after pressure exerted by the U.S. government, specifically Tony Fauci’s National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Pulse can reveal.

Andrzejewski – the CEO and Founder of OpenTheBooks.com – relayed the story in his new Substack column following the termination from Forbes.

After taking umbrage with a number of his Fauci-focused columns, including bombshell revelations about the Fauci household finances, Andrzejewski recalls:

“Two directors, two bureau chiefs, and two top PR officers didn’t send an email to the Forbes’ chief on a Sunday morning because they wanted to correct the record about Fauci’s travel reimbursements. They sent that email to subliminally send a message: We don’t like Andrzejewski’s oversight work, and we want you to do something about it. Unfortunately, Forbes folded quickly.”

An e-mail from Forbes Executive Editor Caroline Howard to Andrzejewski dated January 15th 2022 began: “I see this is your third article on Fauci in 3 weeks. Huh.” Howard then went on to accuse Andrzejewski of advocacy, rather than journalism.

A total of 52 arrests in operation across 28 countries targeting trafficking in cultural goods

A global operation targeting illicit trafficking in cultural goods has led to 52 arrests and the seizure of 9 408 cultural artefacts across the world. These priceless items include archaeological objects, furniture, coins, paintings, musical instruments and statuettes.

Operation Pandora VI, the operational phase of which ran from 1 June to 30 September 2021, saw law enforcement authorities in 28 countries carry out checks and controls in airports and at border crossing points, as well as in auction houses, museums and private homes.

Special focus was placed on the monitoring of online markets. To that end, a cyber patrol week was organised by the National Police Force of the Netherlands (Politie) to identify suspicious sales online.

Over 170 investigations are still ongoing, as a result of which more seizures and arrests are anticipated as investigators around the globe go after those spoiling and destroying cultural heritage.

Led by Spain (Guardia Civil), Pandora VI was coordinated at international level by Europol, INTERPOL and the World Customs Organization (WCO). Operational coordination units working 24/7 were established by Europol on one side, and the WCO and INTERPOL on the other, to support the exchange of information as well as to disseminate alerts, warnings and perform cross-checks in different international and national databases.

Operational highlights

French Customs (Douane) seized 4 231 archaeological objects which included approximately 3 000 coins, as well as bells, buckles, rings and pieces of pottery which were looted from archaeological sites by a single individual, using a metal detector. In a separate case, French Customs also seized three ancient statuettes dating back to the La Tolita – Tumaco pre-Columbian culture.

The Spanish National Police (Policía Nacional) recovered a treasure consisting of 91 gold coins from the Roman Empire with an estimated value of half a million euros on the black market. The investigation began after these coins were detected in a well-known auction house in Madrid. The investigators identified the Spanish archaeological site from which these coins were looted.

Officers from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized a shipment containing 13 pieces of ancient Mexican artefacts from the Post-Classic to the Aztec era, including one skull and 12 adzes (chopping tools).

A processional cross dating from the 13th century was recovered by Romanian Police (Poliția Română) and returned to the Evangelical Church Museum of Cisnadie, from where it had been stolen in 2016. The object had been recorded in INTERPOL’s Stolen Works of Art Database and was identified via the ID-Art app.

Italy’s Carabinieri Corps (Arma dei Carabinieri) seized 79 archaeological goods of different types and age in the Mediterranean region. These goods were lacking documentation certifying their lawful origin or import into the national territory.

The Art and Antiques Crime Unit (National Police Force of the Netherlands) recovered two Kees Verweij paintings which had been reported as stolen, following checks of an online sales catalogue involving an Amsterdam auction house.

Officers from the Hellenic Police (Ελληνική Αστυνομία) recovered a marble column dating back from the Roman period, alongside 13 ancient coins and 3 pottery vessels dating back from the Hellenistic period.

Metal detectors remain a hot commodity amongst looters, with seven European law enforcement authorities reporting the seizure of 90 metal detectors destined for illicit use at archaeological sites.

Beyond the Ukraine Hysteria: The Great Reset is Getting Closer

Sir Klaus Schwab (knighted by the queen for services to conspiracy) is eager to move on with the Great Reset. And so are his co-conspirators. They know that they’re now very close to victory.

The covid fraud terrified, demoralised and trained the naïve and the ignorant and initiated a mass of jab induced illnesses and deaths. The climate change fraud has created a population filled with false anxiety. And now the deliberately manufactured hysteria over the Russian invasion of Ukraine has triggered massive shortages of fuel and food that will result in hundreds of millions of deaths. The hysteria was composed, orchestrated and conducted by the usual media suspects, with the BBC and The Guardian in the vanguard. The BBC long ago stopped being a provider of news and became a propaganda unit – denying, suppressing or twisting the truth with pride rather than regret or embarrassment. (When the BBC proudly announced that it didn’t interview doctors questioning vaccination it abandoned all claims to be a news organisation.)

The story told by the media is that Putin is a threat to democracy. If someone can find evidence of any democracy in the West I’d be delighted if they pointed it out. Where is the democracy in Canada? In Australia? In New Zealand? In the UK? In the USA? Anywhere?

Free speech died in February 2020 and hasn’t been seen since.

You’d have to be as naïve as a five-year-old not to realise that the West engineered this war; manipulating Putin into position like a chess piece.

There have been dozens of wars and invasions and massacres in recent years but never before has there been such mass hysteria. Never before have politicians sported coloured favours in support of their favourite side in the conflict. I don’t remember much establishment concern when the Americans and the British were killing a million babies in Iraq. I don’t remember the media complaining about our attacking Libya.

Sainsbury’s, a British grocer, says that it stands united with the people of Ukraine. I don’t remember them standing united with the people dying in scores of other conflicts.

Sanctions won’t do the Russians much damage but the sanctions aren’t aimed at Russia – they’re aimed at us. They’re part of the route to the New World Order.

You’d have to be blind, stupid or bought not to see the plot unfolding and the endgame approaching rapidly.

And yet blindness, stupidity and corruption are commonplace.

Russia Accuses U.S. of Covering Up Violations of the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention – Calls to Strengthen Bioweapons Treaty

Russia declared that the U.S. and Ukraine have covered up violations of the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention. This comes after Russia discovered bio-laboratories in Ukraine and after State Department official Victoria Nuland confirmed in her testimony on Tuesday that the U.S. has biolabs in Ukraine.

The Biological Weapons Convention, or Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention, is a disarmament treaty that effectively bans biological and toxin weapons by prohibiting their development, production, acquisition, transfer, stockpiling, and use.

The convention, banning the use of biological weapons, was ratified by 143 nations but lacked means of ensuring compliance and the US rejected biological weapons convention protocol, according to a report posted on the NIH website dated 2001.

RT.com reported:

An international treaty banning bioweapons needs to be strengthened with a compliance verification mechanism, contrary to the US position on the issue, Moscow said on Wednesday. The call comes in the wake of the reported discovery of evidence that there were lethal pathogens at Pentagon-backed labs in Ukraine.

The Russian military reported this week that Ukrainian authorities had ordered the destruction of highly pathogenic samples that were stored at US-backed biological labs throughout the country.

The purported documents indicate that both Ukraine and the US breached the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), which both nations signed and ratified, the Russian foreign ministry alleged on Wednesday. The order to destroy the samples was an attempt to cover up the violations of the treaty, it said.

“We stand for the resumption of the work on a legally binding Protocol to the Convention for an effective verification mechanism, which the US has been stonewalling since 2001,” the ministry said.

Tobacco giant sanctions Russia

Philip Morris will wind down manufacturing in the country

One of the world’s largest tobacco manufacturers, Philip Morris International (PMI), said on Wednesday it was reducing production volumes and suspending planned investments in Russia amid ongoing supply chain disruptions and a changing regulatory framework.

The announcement comes as major international businesses are pulling out of Russia due to Western sanctions against Moscow over its military offensive in Ukraine.

The previously planned investments in the country by the tobacco giant included new product launches, as well as commercial, innovation, and manufacturing investments. Philip Morris owns such brands as Parliament, Marlboro, Chesterfield, L&M, Next, as well as Heets sticks for IQOS.

PMI clarified that it will continue to pay the salaries of all of its more than 3,200 employees in Russia.

Earlier, UK-listed tobacco firm Imperial Brands also suspended all operations in Russia, following international sanctions against the country.
