Trump’s Plane Forced to Make Emergency Landing After One of the Engines Failed

President Trump’s plane made an emergency landing on Saturday after one of the aircraft’s four engines failed.

Trump had just left a Republican National Committee-hosted donor retreat in New Orleans when his private pilot was forced to turn around and make an emergency landing.

Politico reported:

Former President Donald Trump’s plane made an emergency landing on Saturday evening following his speech at a Republican National Committee-hosted donor retreat in New Orleans, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The plane was in the air for between 20 and 30 minutes before one of the engines failed and the pilot of the private plane decided to turn around and return to the New Orleans airport, one of the sources said. The plane was en route to Palm Beach, Fla., where Trump resides at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Audio of the communications between the pilot and the air traffic control tower revealed that the landing was described as “emergency in nature,” according to the source, who had been briefed on the recording.

Once the plane was on the ground, the RNC scrambled and reached out to a donor and found the former president another plane. Trump eventually landed in Palm Beach around 3 a.m. Sunday.

AZ Gubernatorial Candidate Files Amicus Brief In AZGOP V. Katie Hobbs To Ban Unconstitutional Drop Boxes, And No-Excuse Mail-In Voting In Arizona

Trump-endorsed Arizona Gubernatorial Candidate Kari Lake filed an amicus brief in the Arizona Supreme Court in the AZGOP’s lawsuit against Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs to protect Arizona’s elections.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the lawsuit to ban unconstitutional drop boxes and no-excuse mail-in voting in Arizona.

The lawsuit was filed in the Arizona Supreme Court on Friday, February 25th, seeking to ban unconstitutional drop boxes and no-excuse mail-in voting. It will also require the Arizona Secretary of State to include signature verification guidelines in the Arizona Elections Procedures Manual.

Lake’s amicus brief serves to assist the court by providing more insights into how no-excuse absentee voting and absentee drop boxes can be abused by the unscrupulous.

The Arizona Constitution clearly states that voting must take place in person, at the polls, on a fixed date, and this was previously found by the court to be true.

Lake further provides clear evidence that no excuse mail-in voting and drop boxes are unconstitutional, unnecessary, and provide unique opportunities to rig our elections.

The case for this brief was built citing legal precedents and examples of mail-in ballot abuse in other states, including Wisconsin, where hundreds of thousands of illegitimate ‘indefinitely confined’ votes were counted under the guise of COVID.

Banning drop boxes and no excuse mail-in ballots will remove avenues that are used to pressure and intimidate voters, replacing them with confidential in-person voting on election day. It also removes the potential for other forms of fraud or abuse, including overzealous solicitation of absent electors who may prefer not to participate in an election.

Kari Lake stated in a press release,

Kari Lake Steps into AZ Supreme Court Case to Fight for Honest Elections for All Arizonans

Phoenix, Arizona – Kari Lake has just filed an Amicus Brief with the Arizona Supreme Court, urging them to hear the case against the state’s unconstitutional voting system organized by a member of the Arizona Republican Party.

“Voters have made it very clear that they are demanding nothing less than completely secure elections and we’re going to give it to them come hell or high water,” Lake said.

A forensic investigation earlier this year, along with a canvass of absentee voters which uncovered tens of thousands of irregularities with ballots cast in the 2020 general election, has compelled Lake to file her brief this morning. Voters have also been reaching out by the thousands to the campaign asking for help in securing elections in 2022 and beyond, which is why Lake is fighting against the unconstitutional voting practices that have plagued Arizona for years.

The brief was filed around noon on Wednesday March 9th with the Arizona Supreme Court. The original lawsuit was filed on February 25th, 2022 and is awaiting a hearing.

JPMorgan Bails Out Chinese Nickel Giant Facing Billions In Losses From Record Margin Call

Two days ago we reported that while "plain vanilla" commodity producers such as coal giant Peabody had no choice but to pay up on their commodity margin calls (which they funded with an expensive, 11%, Goldman credit facility), others such as Chinese giants were magically exempt from mandatory payments in the billions.

Extending on our observation earlier this week that the record surge in commodities, such as nickel, would - ironically - cripple producers who despite being long physical commodities in the spot market are also short in the futures market as a hedge, and it is these hedges that are causing unprecedented waterfalls of cascading short squeezes at this moment as producers scramble to find the cash to satisfy variation margins…

… earlier this week we learned that Chinese nickel titan Tsingshan Holding Group, the world’s largest producer of the metal, controlled by Xiang Guangda - known as “Big Shot”, or is that "Big Short" - faced billions of dollars in trading losses after Russia’s war in Ukraine set off an unprecedented rise in the price of nickel, and which soared by a record 250% in two days

As further detailed yesterday, the paper loss stood at $8 billion on Monday - the result of holdings of about 100,000 tons of nickel on the LME - before a violent rush higher in nickel prices led the London Metal Exchange to suspend trading in the metal on Tuesday after it hit a record $101,365 per metric ton up from $20,175 in January. The exchange has since said it anticipates trading won’t resume before Friday (for more see "An LME Member Has Defaulted On Billions In Margin Calls, But The LME Doesn't Want To Declare Default")

According to the WSJ, Tsingshan’s founder, Xiang Guangda, told a Chinese media outlet that “there have been some moves by foreigners,” and that it is in active negotiations with relevant parties, without specifying who they were and what was being negotiated.

Xiang was also quoted saying that “relevant government departments and leaders are all very supportive of Tsingshan. Tsingshan is a solid Chinese enterprise and our positions and operations do not have problems,” according to the report in Yicai, a financial-news outlet.

Needless to say, the fact that the LME is now owned by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, whose biggest shareholder is the Hong Kong government which for the past two years has been a puppet of China, did not hurt Xiang, whose empire would have been bankrupted had the LME forced him to make payment on his margin call. None other than outgoing LME chief executive Matt Chamberlain admitted as much.

Uranium Stocks Soar After US Said To Weigh Sanctions On Russian Nuclear Giant Rosatom

Earlier today we asked if Putin would voluntarily put Russian enriched uranium exports on the list of banned Russian exports, in the process sending the stocks of uranium producers sharply higher (as Russia is currently 40%-45% of the world’s enriched Uranium supply). Well, moments ago Joe Biden may have made that decision for him.

According to Bloomberg, the Biden administration is considering imposing sanctions on Russia’s state-owned atomic energy company, Rosatom - a major supplier of fuel and technology to power plants around the world - although no final decision has been made and the White House is consulting with the nuclear power industry about the potential impact.

Rosatom is described as "delicate target" because the company and its subsidiaries account for about 35% of global uranium enrichment and has agreements to ship the nuclear fuel to countries across Europe, which means any sanctions risk plunging Europe in darkness. Thus, any punishment would also have to exempt the work Rosatom does with Iran under the terms of the deal limiting the country’s nuclear program, which Biden is seeking to revive. In other words, if Rosatom is sanctioned, it likely means that the Iran nuclear deal - which is mediated by Russians - is dead, and oil prices will soar even higher.

It’s also unclear what the sanctions would mean for U.S. nuclear plants and importers of fuel. Russia accounted for 16.5% of the uranium imported into the U.S. in 2020 and 23% of the enriched uranium needed to power the fleet of U.S. commercial nuclear reactors; notably uranium was not included when the Biden administration announced on Tuesday it was banning Russian imports of crude, coal, and other energy products because - you know - Hillary… The reactors typically need to refuel every 18 to 24 months, and utilities typically buy fuel years in advance and maintain significant inventories. It's also why we said earlier that companies that would benefit from an escalation in uranium sanctions would be the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust, as well as our old favorite Cameco, which we have urged readers to buy since 2020.

Needless to say, any such ban would send the price of uranium soaring and have a big impact on nuclear operators such as Southern and Exelon while a possible boon for domestic miners such as Energy Fuels Inc. and Ur-Energy Inc, as well as Cameco. In fact the entire uranium sector is soaring

Texas election commissioner resigns after 10,000 uncounted ballots found in last week's primary

“The buck stops with me to address issues for voters, and I did not meet my own standard or the standard set by commissioners,” Harris County Elections Commissioner Isabel Longoria says.

The elections commissioner in Texas' largest county has resigned after revelations that 10,000 ballots were not counted in the Houston area in last week’s primary election.

“The buck stops with me to address issues for voters, and I did not meet my own standard or the standard set by commissioners,” Harris County Elections Commissioner Isabel Longoria said Tuesday in announcing her resignation during a meeting of the county commission.

Longoria said her resignation would take effect July 1 to ensure "there is a presiding officer during the May and June elections and allows the election commission the time they need to find a replacement. I remain committed to the office and its mission and hope to aid in defeating harmful rhetoric to ensure successful elections in the future.”

You can see her resignation statement here.

The resignation came after the Harris County Republican Party sued the commissioner over the discovery of the 10,000 uncounted ballots, which casts doubt on two closely contested races in the Houston area.

Last Tuesday's primary was the first to take placed under Texas' news election integrity laws that required new photo ID for absentee ballots.

The revelations about the uncounted votes comes just weeks after the Texas secretary of state finished an audit that found nearly 12,000 foreigners had made it into the state's voter rolls. Non-citizens are forbidden from voting in Texas.

Morrison government pledges $38 billion to boost ADF

Australia’s defence force is set to grow to more than 100,000 personnel as the Morrison government puts the spotlight back on the nation’s defence and national security.

There will be $38 billion dollars spent to increase the ADF’s workforce by 30 per cent but the full increase is not expected until 2040.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has used the announcement to again target Labor over its national security stance, accusing the opposition of cutting defence spending when it was in government.

Colorado Clerk Tina Peters Indicted One Week After She Releases Findings on Dominion Voting Machines in the State

Tina Peters, who was mercilessly attacked by the Soros-backed Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold and the state media, recently released a report on the hard drives of the Dominion voting machines used in the Colorado 2020 Election. This report released on March 1, 2022, had several findings.

Tina Peters is the Election Clerk from Mesa County Colorado who backed up the voting machines in her county when the corrupt Secretary of State demanded that all voting machines be altered in a manner that erased election data (which is against the law) after the 2020 election. Ms. Peters was attacked for her actions. The FBI raided her home instead of investigating her claims.

Recently in early February Peters was interrupted at a local restaurant by police and arrested on some garbage charges. What are the chances that Peters is being harassed and attacked because she knew too much?

Ms. Peters recently sent a report to the state of Colorado with the results from an investigation into the Dominion voting machines used in her state in the 2020 Election. The report is damning. It shows that the county’s voting machines were illegally certified and illegally configured in the 2020 Election. The report lists a number of significant issues in the executive summary of the report.

Conservative Ex-Top Prosecutor Elected South Korean President

SEOUL—A conservative former top prosecutor was elected South Korea’s new president in one of the closest fought races in recent history, which will shape Asia’s fourth-largest economy for the next five years.

Yoon Suk-yeol, 60, from the main opposition People Power Party, edged out the ruling Democratic Party’s Lee Jae-myung with 48.6 percent of the vote to 47.8 percent, with around 99.3 percent of the ballots counted as of 5 a.m. on Thursday.

Yoon said he would honor the constitution and parliament and work with opposition parties to heal polarized politics and foster unity, calling the election a “victory of the great people.”

“Our competition is over for now,” he told a news conference, thanking and consoling Lee and other rivals. “We have to join hands and unite into one for the people and the country.”

Lee had conceded defeat and congratulated his opponent.

“I did my best, but failed to live up to your expectations,” he told a news conference, blaming his “shortcomings.”

“The president-elect, I desperately ask you to overcome divisions and conflicts and open an era of integration and unity.”

Yoon shot to fame after spearheading high-profile investigations into corruption scandals engulfing incumbent President Moon Jae-in’s aides.

Yoon has pledged to stamp out graft, foster justice, and create a more level playing field, while seeking a “reset” with China and a tougher stance toward reclusive North Korea.

The unusually bitter election campaign was marred by scandals and smears, but more than 77 percent of South Korea’s 44 million eligible voters cast ballots to pick their next leader.

Yoon has to tackle challenges including South Korea’s COVID-19 infections and North Korea’s evolving nuclear and missile threats, while navigating an increasingly tense rivalry between China and the United States.

Yoon says he would sternly deal with North Korean provocations and seek to boost trilateral security cooperation with Washington and Tokyo. Yoon has said he would make an enhanced alliance with the United States the center of his foreign policy while taking a more assertive stance on China.
