Jim posted a talk recently with babyfist about how projectcomms came to be hacked by Sgt B - because Babyfist was a GV who shared his data with several others. Sgt B believed anons shouldn't be hanging on every word Q said and so hacked projectcomms thinking it would encourage them to be more independent.

 

Very bad idea. Babyfirst violated JW's trust - and admitted as much, although the apology was pretty backhanded imo.

 

Babyfist is no longer a GV, which is good.

 

AFAIK, Q is the BO of projectcomms. So only he has the word that displays the tripcode. The Sgt B message was displayed wo/a tripcode. Why we know it was not from Q. Must be in the right place and with the right trip.

 

More generally -

It is very difficult to know who is absolutely trustworthy on an anon platform like 8. But then, it's hard to know who to trust on any platform - we see this in action all the time. Even the best admins have to take a chance on people, but look at all the people who betrayed Pres. Trump. There is no such thing as perfect security.

Way too confusing for baker to say "i'll do it, here's what i want but it's all off if someone else steps in ."

 

Either make a FIRM deal or say nothing.

If no baker shows up, you can always grab it then.

when you sign in as note-taker, try posting notes early - around 200.

Use formatting and TAG to dough.

Then incoming bakers know you are here and will likely pick up your notes instead of starting from the beginning.

but they cannot impersonate Q unless they can guess the word that generates the tripcode
