Imagine that. People are different.

Take the story of the 2 thieves. Let's add a third.

The first is told to "just believe" and existing in a way that that is sufficient, does just that. Having no "form" to his belief, right before he dies someone else tells him to believe something entirely different. How will he maintain his first belief? What error checking?

The second and third thief ask for proof, which is provided. The second assesses the evidence, comes to the conclusion it is valid, and afterwards believes.

The third sees the same evidence and whether it is enough or not, decides to reject belief.

The first is a fool, the second a reasonable person who arrives at a much stronger belief, while the third would be a "sinner."

In your mindset there must. Even if that were conceded, to then conclude it must be the version (incoherently) described in the Bible is a huge leapโ€ฆalmost like someone being led by a fenced shoot to a predetermined conclusion designed to control.
