The Lancet paper documents the percent of severe adverse events (6.6%), compared to non-severe adverse events (92.1%). BTW - death was a separate category determined to be around 1.3% of all adverse events. So, what does this mean? A severe event ratio (including death) of 7.9% of all reported adverse events is high - very high! That means that about 12.6% of adverse events are severe, as defined by the VAERS system (quote from the Lancet paper below):

“VAERS reports were classified as serious if any of the following outcomes were documented: inpatient hospitalisation, prolongation of hospitalisation, permanent disability, life-threatening illness, congenital anomaly or birth defect, or death.”

Media Burries News: New York Court DISMISSES Smartmatic’s $2.7 Billion lawsuit against Sidney Powell ….

by Kari Donovan

March 10, 2022

According to a press release from Sidney Powel’s group, Defending The Republic in Battle, located at 2911 Turtle Creek – Suite 300; Dallas, Texas 75219 (United States). And the headlines were impressive- even though the lapdog media was doing everything they could to bury the news from the American people.

NY Court dismisses Smartmatic’s 2.7 billion dollar lawsuit against Sidney Powell. The court held it had no jurisdiction over Ms. Powell. It also dismissed Smartmatic‘s suit against Fox host Jeanine Pirro.

Sidney said: “The Court correctly analyzed and followed the law. All of the cases filed against me and Defending the Republic should be dismissed. “

LAWFARE BY POLITICAL OPPONENTS GOES ON-HOWEVER

Google- and their media allies made sure that all of the news of Powell was negative- however, to keep everyone in the dark about the Smartmatic decision.

WASHINGTON, March 9 (Reuters) – Texas legal regulators have asked a judge to discipline attorney Sidney Powell for filing lawsuits they say were frivolous in support of former President Donald Trump’s false claims of election fraud.

The disciplinary action is a major development in what has become a nationwide effort to punish pro-Trump lawyers who tried to overturn the November 2020 presidential election result, but is not a final finding of wrongdoing.

A Texas state court judge will hear the complaint and decide whether to impose a sanction and what that might be.

In the complaint made public on Tuesday, the State Bar of Texas Commission for Lawyer Discipline said Powell “had no reasonable basis” for filing lawsuits challenging President Joe Biden’s victories in key battleground states.

“Respondent (Powell) had no reasonable basis to believe the lawsuits she filed were not frivolous,” the complaint stated and called the suits a violation of a federal ethics rule requiring an attorney’s due diligence before asserting claims in court.

Everyone in the lapdog media was very excited to carry all of the details when Smarmatic filed their case.

Consider this story from CNBC-that was written with breathless anticipation.

Whistleblower: FBI Is Just Now Asking Basic Questions About Jan. 6 Pipe Bombs — A Year Into Its Investigation

By: Kylee Zempel

March 10, 2022

A senior FBI special agent has sounded the alarm on the bureau’s investigation into the pipe bombs that were placed outside the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee buildings the night before the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol, suggesting that the investigation has been a low priority and made no real progress.

According to a letter sent on Wednesday from Rep. Jim Jordan, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, to FBI Director Christopher Wray, the FBI agent filed a whistleblower disclosure about the pipe bomb investigation — an investigation the Associated Press had characterized as “one of the highest-priority investigations for the FBI and the Justice Department.” The agent alleged that on Feb. 7, 2022, more than a year after the bombs were planted, the bureau’s Washington Field Office asked its other field offices “to canvass all confidential human sources nationwide for information about the individual and the crime.”

The canvass should “include sources reporting on all [types of] threats,” the message from Washington to the other FBI field offices requested, because the bomber’s “motive and ideology remain unknown.”

“The special agent explained that the [Washington Field Office] request was ‘unusual’ because it was transmitted more than a year after the FBI had begun the investigation, and it raises questions about the progress and extent of the FBI’s investigation,” Jordan’s letter said.

Jordan also noted that the FBI failed to fully answer questions raised in early September by Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., about the status of the pipe bomb probe. According to Jordan, the FBI “has not fully responded to Rep. Posey’s request, explaining that it was exclusively providing information to the partisan Democrat-led Select Committee investigating the events of January 6, 2021.”

Like the sham impeachment of Donald Trump, the Jan. 6 committee that the FBI is hiding behind has proved to be nothing more than a partisan show trial by Democrats, who excluded legitimate Republican representation from the committee, misled witnesses, and fabricated evidence including multiple text messages. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has also used her committee as a smokescreen to distract from her own failures to secure the Capitol, as reports show Capitol Police were woefully unprepared to handle the events of Jan. 6. ..

“Are You Guys Just Gonna Start Blaming Putin For Everything Until the Midterms?” – Peter Doocy Makes a Fool Out of Psaki (VIDEO)

By Cristina Laila

Published March 10, 2022 at 12:44pm

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Thursday blamed Vladimir Putin for soaring gas prices and record inflation.

The February inflation rate soared to 7.9% in February – up from 1.4% from when Trump left office.

The biggest factors included gas, food, and shelter — basic life essentials.

The White House is blaming Vladimir Putin for everything.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Psaki if the Biden Regime is just going to blame Putin for everything until the midterms.

Psaki moved the goalposts and said gas has gone up at least 75 cents since Putin “lined up troops on the border of Ukraine.”

Gas prices were rising before Putin built up troops near the Ukrainian border.

Peter Doocy hit back and pointed out that just last month the Biden Regime blamed inflation and rising gas prices on the Covid pandemic.

Psaki looked like a fool trying to explain how now everything went from Covid’s fault to Putin’s fault.

https://www.wnd.com/2022/03/democrats-congress-pressured-oil-industry-cause-pain-americans

.. They, according to the report, "pressured oil executives to decrease outputs because of climate change, raising questions about the Democratic Party's strategy to lower prices for consumers."

"You can draw a direct line from how the Democrats marauded energy production yesterday to the unprecedented pain Americans are feeling at the pump today," CounterPoint Strategies president Jim McCarthy, a policy adviser for energy companies, explained in the report.

It was just last October that the House Oversight and Reform Committee, run by Democrats, ordered the top officers for Exxon, BP, Shell, and Chevron to show up "to explain what steps they are taking to produce less oil and gas," the report said.

Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., claimed then, when gasoline prices along with virtually all other consumer items were surging in prices because of inflation under Biden's policies, that the world "can't wait."

The Free Beacon reported, "The hearing has gained new relevance as a global gas shortage has pushed prices to an all-time high. Prices are rising even more due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with no sign of falling after Biden's announcement that the United States will no longer accept Russian oil imports. Those facts have left Democrats scrambling for a solution before the November midterms as Republicans demand that the White House encourage domestic oil drilling operations."

Biden repeatedly has claimed in recent days his policies are not blocking energy production. But his decisions at the outset of his tenure, including brutally cutting off the Keystone XL pipeline project, trying to kill federal oil lease programs and making it hard for natural gas projects to operate, have effected just that.

Some Democrats have demanded, apparently with seeing the contradiction, that the U.S. reduce energy production – and cut dependency on oil imports.

Under President Trump, the U.S. actually achieved energy independence, producing more than it consumed and exporting the leftover.

Biden reversed that starting on his first day in office, however, and analysts are predicting the United States now is dependent on foreigner sources for energy.

The report explained Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., grilled Shell president Gretchen Watkins on whether she agreed that "under the Paris agreement that … we need to have oil and gas production declining every year."

Then Khanna demanded to know if Shell would be cutting its production.

"This is what happens when left-wing Democrat fantasies meet reality. Khanna and other Democrats spent most of the fall trying to strangle the life out of oil and gas companies and are now feigning surprise and evading responsibility at the outcome," McCarthy charged in the Free Beacon report. ..

Maryland Bill Effectively Decriminalizes Neglecting Newborns to Death

By Wesley J. Smith

(Wikimedia Commons)

Remember when former Virginia governor Ralph Northam blessed the right of a mother and her doctor to “have a conversation” and decide to neglect a newborn survivor of abortion to death? Well, now, a Maryland bill would effectively decriminalize Northam’s immoral proposal without regard to abortion.

First, it reiterates current law that deprives fetuses of all rights, meaning they could be the subjects of live experimentation when that is technologically feasible. From SB 669:

Nothing in this section shall be construed to confer personhood or any rights on the fetus.

Next, the bill would prevent investigations and legal penalties for abortion at any point in the pregnancy and “perinatal” deaths caused by “failure to act” — which extend from the 22nd week of gestation through to the first 28 days after birth (my emphasis):

This section may not be construed to authorize any form of investigation or penalty for a person:

(1) Terminating or attempting to terminate the person’s own pregnancy; or

(2) Experiencing a miscarriage, perinatal death related to a failure to act, or stillbirth

This means that a baby who survived an abortion can be allowed to die without care, and no investigation could be pursued nor legal penalty applied.

But it also effectively decriminalizes death by neglect for the first 28 days of life without regard to abortion. If no investigation can be conducted, what else can it be called? For example, a baby born with a disability could be allowed to die by refusing ordinary methods of care or medical treatment. Heck, for that matter, so could any baby the mother does not want in the first 28 days after birth.

To further ensure that such deaths can take place without consequence, the bill would authorize those illegally investigated for causing babies to die by neglect to bring civil lawsuits!

A person may bring a cause of action for damages if the person was subject to unlawful arrest or criminal investigation for a violation of section as a result of . . .

2) Experiencing a miscarriage, stillbirth, or perinatal death

The pro-abortion left clearly is slouching toward not only authorizing late term abortions for any reason, but also, post-birth deaths of unwanted born babies.

Based on the current advocacy trajectory, such proposals will eventually extend to permitting active infanticide, which is already promoted as legitimate morally by many in mainstream bioethics, and which currently is permitted in the Netherlands upon terminally ill babies and those born with serious disabilities. After all, once the law permits death by neglect, allowing lethal injections would be seen as more “humane” than the extended suffering that would otherwise be caused.

Tell me again: Who are the radicals? Who are the ones who don’t care about babies after they are born?

Accdg to CDC many won't get sick w/Covid or get it at all. So comparing vax risk, for ex, of neurological problems to Covid risk of neurological problems is a fallacy many scientists seem to be making. It elevates perceived risk of going unvaxxed, while minimizing vaccine risk.

https://www.npr.org/2022/03/10/1084166077/with-federal-rules-unclear-some-states-carve-their-own-path-on-cryptocurrencies

Although President Biden just announced an executive order on cryptocurrencies, states still have little guidance about how to respond to the growing popularity of the digital currencies. So a number of states are jumping ahead with crypto bills of their own.

What was once seen as a niche play for tech enthusiasts and investors crypto is now becoming a mainstream financial asset. Some bills go as far as trying to make crypto legal tender, meaning it would be recognized by law to settle debts, both public and private.

Here's what some states are doing:

Arizona

Republican Senator Wendy Rogers introduced legislation in January pushing to make one of the most popular cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin, legal tender.

It would amend what the state considers legal tender and would allow Bitcoin to be used for payments of debt, state taxes and dues.

California

A bill introduced by state Democratic Senator Sydney Kamlager in February would allow the state to accept crypto payments for state services that include permits, DMV licenses, certificates and state taxes.

"It would pave the way for you to use digital currency to pay for some of those transaction fees and products that you have to get from the state." said Kamlager.

A Pew Research survey showed that Asians, Blacks and Hispanics were more likely than whites to say they have invested in or used cryptocurrencies. Given that, she says her bill would hopefully address economic inequality. "Folks have been destabilized financially, either because of their race, because of their gender, because of their financial past, because of their past circumstances, or because of financial abuse. And this presents an opportunity to wash all of that away," says Kamlager.

A separate legislative effort by Ian Calderon, former majority leader in the California State Assembly and Dennis Porter, a Bitcoin advocate, would make Bitcoin (and no other cryptocurrency) legal tender in the state.

Colorado

Governor Jared Polis, a Democrat, announced on social media that the state will begin to accept crypto payments for state taxes and fees and hopes to do so by the end of summer of this year.

One major criticism of crypto is its volatility; prices can swing widely in a single day. Colorado plans to use "a third-party exchange that accepts virtual currency, converts it to U.S. dollars, and transmits the U.S. dollars to the state" through an an electronic funds transfer, says Kate Powell, a spokesperson for Gov. Polis.

If successful the governor will explore crypto payments for all types of payments made to the state.

Ohio

In 2018, Ohio became the first state that began accepting Bitcoin as tax payments. But that effort was short lived. The online portal that allowed businesses to pay their taxes in Bitcoin shut down less than a year after it was introduced.

In a statement to NPR, the Ohio Treasurer's Office sought to make it clear that "no form of cryptocurrency was accepted by or held in the Ohio Treasury." It also noted that in the months that the online portal was active, only 10 businesses chose to pay their taxes through this method. ..

Gregory Poland, MD, director of the Mayo Clinic's Vaccine Research Group in Rochester, Minnesota, remains a steadfast vaccination advocate – even though he developed tinnitus soon after receiving his second dose of COVID vaccine.

A little more than a year ago, Poland was driving back from the hospital after receiving his second shot when he nearly veered out of his lane.

"It was like someone suddenly blew a dog whistle in my ear," Poland told MedPage Today. "It has been pretty much unrelenting."

Since then, Poland said he has been experiencing what he describes as life-altering tinnitus, or ringing in the ear. It occurs in both ears, but is worse in the left than in the right.

He remains steadfast that opting to receive his booster after which his tinnitus briefly disappeared but then returned at a slightly higher pitch that made it just a bit less bothersome was the right move. After all, it would be "way too ironic" for a prominent vaccinologist to die of COVID, he said. He also worried about the possibility of contracting COVID and spreading it to his patients.

Yet Poland realizes his life may never be the same, and that many others may be grappling with the same reality. He continues to receive emails from other individuals across the country and around the world who say they have also developed tinnitus after COVID vaccination.

Poland believes there may be tens of thousands of people affected in the U.S. and potentially millions worldwide. He feels strongly that more research should be done to determine what caused these symptoms and what can be done to help people desperate for relief.

"What has been heartbreaking about this, as a seasoned physician, are the emails I get from people that, this has affected their life so badly, they have told me they are going to take their own life," Poland said.

Troubling Symptoms

Poland said of his own symptoms that he "can only begin to estimate the number of times I just want to scream because I can't get rid of the noise or how many hours of sleep I've lost," he said. The noise he hears is "particularly loud at night when there are no masking sounds."

On a recent evening, he had an especially difficult moment. Poland, a self-described lover of nature and the outdoors, realized that he may never be able to hear the silence of nature again, which brought tears to his eyes.

He said that he finds some comfort in his 14- to 16-hour work days that have helped him to not focus on the noise that won't cease.

"It's something that deserves attention," Poland said, pointing to the effort that has gone into defining the risk of myocarditis post-vaccination, and rightfully so, he said.

Thankfully, myocarditis often resolves within a few days of treatment, Poland noted. But with tinnitus, symptoms can persist.

The American Tinnitus Association describes the condition as audiological and neurological. Tinnitus can be acute or chronic, and many cases can be extreme and debilitating. Currently, there is no cure for most types of the condition, though there are treatment options to help patients live more comfortable and productive lives, according to the association.

Is There a Link?

Elliott Kozin, MD, a neurotologist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston, told MedPage Today in an email that there are "ongoing research efforts to understand if COVID-19 vaccines may be related to various auditory complaints, including hearing loss and tinnitus."

Kozin said there are "no definitive studies on the subject." Still, some research has shown evidence of neurological complications following COVID vaccination. For instance, the CDC has acknowledged rare reports of and the FDA warned about the risk of Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) following vaccination with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

And in a recent Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) analysis reported in the Annals of Neurology, tinnitus was among the most commonly reported adverse neurological events following vaccination. But its authors noted that rates of neurological adverse events were far higher following SARS-CoV-2 infection than after vaccination.

A MedPage Today search of the VAERS database yielded more than 13,000 results for tinnitus following COVID vaccination with mRNA vaccines. However, the database specifies that, for any reported event, cause-and-effect relationship has not been established.

A spokesperson for CDC told MedPage Today in an email that the agency is "aware of reports of tinnitus occurring in temporal association with mRNA COVID-19 vaccination." ..

Neurologic adverse events after COVID-19 vaccination were rare, an analysis of Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data showed.

Of nearly 307 million COVID vaccine doses administered in the U.S. in the first half of 2021, 314,610 (0.1%) people reported any adverse event and 105,214 (0.03%) reported neurologic adverse events, according to Jennifer Frontera, MD, of New York University Grossman School of Medicine in New York City, and co-authors.

The rate of neurologic events after acute SARS-CoV-2 infection was up to 617-fold higher than after COVID vaccination, the researchers reported in Annals of Neurology.

"Overall, the side effects of COVID vaccines were extremely rare and much less common than after COVID itself," Frontera told MedPage Today.

More neurologic adverse events were seen in people who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (0.15%) than the Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty; 0.03%) or Moderna (Spikevax; 0.03%) shots. For the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the observed-to-expected ratios for Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), and seizures were higher than background rates.

Reports of GBS and CVT after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine emerged last year, but reports of seizure are relatively new, Frontera noted. In the Johnson & Johnson phase III clinical trial, seizures occurred in four participants in the vaccine group, compared with one person in the placebo group.

"People should probably be cognizant of the possibility of seizures after the adenovirus [Johnson & Johnson] vaccine, which is the one new, different thing we see in this report," Frontera said.

"This is a very well done analysis of neurological symptoms and diagnoses following COVID-19 vaccination," observed Lyell Jones Jr., MD, of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, who wasn't involved with the study.

"These findings confirm previous large population studies, which also found very low rates of neurological adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination," Jones told MedPage Today. "While VAERS is limited by its passive reporting mechanism, it's now very clear that neurological complications are much higher following SARS-CoV-2 infection than following COVID-19 vaccination."

The findings are in line with those seen recently in England, which also showed neurologic complications occurring more frequently after COVID infection than vaccination.

In their analysis, Frontera and co-authors studied VAERS data collected from January 1 to June 14, 2021. They manually reviewed all free-text and coded symptoms reported within 42 days of vaccine administration and grouped them into 36 diagnostic categories.

Adverse events that occurred within 42 days of vaccination for people 12 and older were included, after either one or two COVID vaccine doses. Booster shots were not available during the study period.

"Most side effects were reported on the first day," Frontera noted. "We included all kinds of side effects, including headache or flu-like symptoms; that's why there's a spike on the first day."

Of all doses administered during the study period, 54% were Pfizer, 42% were Moderna, and 4% were Johnson & Johnson. The median age of patients with reported neurologic adverse events was 50, and 71% were women. The median time to onset of neurologic symptoms from vaccination was 1 day.

Serious events including GBS, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, transverse myelitis, and CVT were reported in less than 1 per 1,000,000 doses of vaccine administered.

The most commonly reported neurologic adverse events were headache, fatigue, dizziness, syncope, tinnitus, and sleep disorder, all of which were reported more frequently after the Johnson & Johnson shot. ..
