A kid anon really admired in highschool wrote John 3:16 in yearbook: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Had heard it every week in own Church, but never "got" it because of the people reciting it not being very nice.
Still have and cherish yearbook. This kid was a Spiritual influence, as were others in HS.
He and another close classmate practiced what they preached. Reckon they (still are, I pray) Baptist. They sang Gospel at their churches and Dav would always play & sing two songs when bugged to do so, which was any time we were near a piano before class, kek. Truly gifted, talented young man living for Jesus.
Never saw such love and respect directed towards people in 8 &1/2 years of Catholic school.
The top is corrupt in any money-laundering operation in which people don't practice what they preach.
Knew our local Catholic outfit was corrupt as shit when, in grade school, a classmate's house burned down and their sibling died in it.
There were no "collections" for that family, yet they kept asking for $$$ for "the children" in some foreign country every damned week. Parents couldn't believe when we still brought home envelopes for the latter without fail, but nothing for the classmate(s). Family was mentioned at a Sunday Mass for Prayer request and that was that.
Sometimes God will insert somebody (who He may use as a Tool) in our lives to show us. Pray we notice.
