If you are a team of people communicating on the open internet, you would likely want to secure the platform you are disseminating your message from, why?
Because someone could pop up on Twitter, Truth Social, or any other platform claiming to be you.
People have in fact done this.
By Q saying "no outside comms," he/they were attempting to secure their mode of communication to avoid someone LARPing as them.
It would make no sense to disinfo that part of their communication strategy as it serves no valuable purpose for them and would only serve to sow confusion among us and possibly allow bad actors to commandeer the "Q" persona.
