"Don't Tread on Me" is passive. The Conservatives lose because they do not infiltrate institutions to enact change from within like the Left does. I do not fault them though for not wanting to insert themselves into the very cesspools the abhor, but meanwhile the Left enters institutions they oppose, then threaten and force change. The Right never does and so they lose.
