Praying for all anons everywhere!
pic: These are all from the Word of God in regards to Prayer and praying. How and when to pray, for whom to pray, etc. Praying in the spirit is basically speaking in tongues. Done the right way, via the Holy Spirit, it is described in the Word as "perfect prayer", "speaking the wonderful works of God". The Holy Spirit gives you the words to speak as you begin to breath in and out. When we speak with the understanding (using our own minds) we breath as we begin to speak. Do the same and believe that God will give you the utterance.
Why to pray with the Spirit? Sometimes we know not what to pray for. Or in times of stress we can't think straight, we may not have the words to speak out what our hearts are feeling. Or we are praying for someone or some situation (like a war) but we're not sure what the issue really is, you can pray in the Spirit for them/it. It is also for your own edification, building you up Spiritually!
So awesome that God gave us this ability to speak the wonderful works of God!! (See Corinthians 12 - it's one of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit)
