Trey Gowdy has a bigger role to play in all of this. He needs to maintain the appearance of being at-odds with the President in order to keep his reputation intact and not be seen as a die-hard Trump ally. Similar to the situation with Sessions. He's an extremely talented prosecutor but I think he was being blackmailed and/or threatened during his time working the Benghazi case. All Q drops relating to TG point to him being /ourguy/.
