Democrats in Portland, Maine Approve Voting Rights for Foreign Nationals

Democrats in Portland, Maine, have advanced a proposal to give foreign nationals the right to vote in municipal elections, likely putting the measure on the ballot for voters.

The Portland Charter Commission, made up primarily of liberal Democrats, voted to support the plan by a 10-2 vote. Pat Washburn, who sits on the commission, told local media that giving voting rights to foreign nationals is “a matter of justice.”

We have a substantial population of people who live here, who are part of our community, who send their kids to our schools, who rely on city services and don’t have a voice in what the city chooses to do or not do,” Washburn said.

Portland is home to nearly 25,000 foreign-born residents. Now, the plan will be put to Portland voters on an upcoming ballot.

Democrats across the United States have been opting to give voting rights to foreign nationals in state and local elections for years. Two towns in Vermont, for instance, are readying their first local elections where foreign nationals will be voting.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is currently suing Montpelier and Winooski for allowing foreign nationals to vote, arguing that the policy violates Vermont’s constitution, which reserves voting rights for American citizens.

Even more significant, Democrats on the 51-member New York City Council approved a plan in January that allows more than 800,000 foreign nationals with green cards, visas, and work permits the opportunity to vote in citywide elections so long as they have resided in the city for at least 30 consecutive days.

Black Americans, as well as the New York GOP and some Democrat politicians, are suing New York City, alleging that the policy violates the state’s constitution and discriminates against American citizens by shifting political power toward foreign nationals.

New York Democrats Seek $345M for Health Insurance for Illegal Aliens

Democrats in the New York State Assembly and State Senate are looking to approve $345 million in taxpayer funds to open health insurance rolls to illegal aliens.

The plan, dubbed “Coverage4All,” would ensure that the state’s nearly 800,000 illegal aliens would be eligible for health insurance programs at a cost to the state’s taxpayers. The plan remains before the State Senate Finance Committee and would provide insurance to about 46,000 illegal aliens.

Provides eligibility for services under the basic health program for individuals whose immigration status renders him or her ineligible for federal financial participation and who meet additional requirements,” a summary of the plan states.

In addition to the mass migration lobby, corporate special interests are backing the plan, including the Chamber of Commerce-linked Business Council of New York, which calls the effort to insure illegal aliens “an important avenue to be pursued…”

The move would be similar to that of California, where Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has expanded health insurance coverage, paid for by taxpayers, to illegal aliens.

In recent months, Newsom has sought taxpayer-funded universal health insurance for the state’s three million illegal aliens — an annual cost of $2.4 billion, in addition to the billions in costs that taxpayers in the state already pay to provide health insurance to certain groups of illegal aliens.

Americans, nationwide, already are forced to subsidize about $18.5 billion of yearly medical costs for illegal aliens living in the United States, according to estimates by Chris Conover, formerly of the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke University.

When American voters were polled by CNN on the issue in July 2019, nearly 6-in-10 said they were opposed to forcing taxpayers to provide free health benefits to illegal aliens, including 63 percent of swing voters and 61 percent of self-described “moderates.”

Biden administration grants Afghan nationals 'temporary protected status' protecting them from deportation

The Biden administration will not deport citizens of Afghanistan who are illegally living in the United States.

The Washington Examiner reported that the Department of Homeland Security announced on Wednesday the implementation of “Temporary Protected Status" (TPS) for Afghans currently residing in the United States. This program, debuted by DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, means that Afghans brought to the United States during last fall’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan are protected from deportation and will be able to secure employment for the next 18 months.

Many of these Afghan citizens were not fully vetted by the federal government prior to their evacuation from Afghanistan.

Mayorkas said, “This TPS designation will help to protect Afghan nationals who have already been living in the United States from returning to unsafe conditions.”

He said, “Under this designation, TPS will also provide additional protections and assurances to trusted partners and vulnerable Afghans who supported the U.S. military, diplomatic, and humanitarian missions in Afghanistan over the last 20 years.”

DHS officials said that the TPS policy is not necessarily intended for the nearly 80,000 Afghans whom the U.S. evacuated from Kabul last year, but “these individuals may also be eligible for TPS.”

Afghan refugees brought to the U.S. during this time were released into the country’s interior on a “parole basis” that protected them from deportation and enabled them to secure employment for a period of two years.

In a press release, the DHS said that Afghan refugees were targeted for TPS due to the “extraordinary and temporary conditions that prevent the country’s nationals from returning in safety.”

Since the Taliban came into power last summer, terror groups like al Qaeda and Islamic State-Khorasan have periodically carried out attacks on civilians.

The department’s press release also indicated that Afghanistan’s unstable economy and poor record on human rights issues justified extending the TPS program to cover Afghan refugees.

It cited “a collapsing public sector, a worsening economy, drought, food and water insecurity, lack of access to healthcare, internal displacement, human rights abuses and repression by the Taliban, destruction of infrastructure, and increasing criminality” as reasons for protecting Afghan refugees from deportation.

However, the department noted that TPS will not be granted to Afghans who arrived in the country after March 15, 2022, and that to qualify for TPS, Afghans must undergo background and security checks.

DHS officials did not say how many Afghan refugees currently in the country are protected from deportation.

Over 300,000 people — from 13 total countries — have been approved for TPS since Congress launched the program in 1990.

Israel to offer healthcare, temporary housing to Ukrainian refugees

Welfare Ministry says priority will go to at-risk populations, as it seeks to address needs of thousands entering the country

Israel will grant basic services including health care and housing assistance to the thousands of Ukrainian refugees entering the country, the Welfare Ministry announced Wednesday.

Over 6,000 Ukrainian refugees who are not eligible for Israeli citizenship have entered Israel since Russia invaded their country late last month, according to Israel’s Population Authority, and roughly the same number are expected to do so in the coming days and weeks for a total of 15,000 refugees.

Up until now, such refugees have been in Israel on tourist visas, which afford them no social services, like healthcare, education or housing assistance.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett tasked the Welfare Ministry with addressing the issue and providing basic services to asylum seekers.

“According to the plan, the Welfare Ministry will provide the refugees with temporary housing, food assistance, material assistance, social services and other rights like health insurance and enrollment in the education system,” the ministry said.

The basic health insurance will be issued by private insurance companies, not by state-run healthcare providers.

The ministry allocated some NIS 15 million ($4.6 million) for its refugee assistance programs, which will work out to roughly NIS 1,000 ($306) per refugee.

The ministry said these basic services will be granted to refugees until they receive formal recognition by the state as refugees — a process that can take several weeks — at which point they would be eligible for more benefits, notably work permits.

“This is our moral, Jewish and Israeli responsibility, and we see great honor in this responsibility. I want to thank the prime minister for giving the Welfare Ministry and me this mission,” Welfare Minister Meir Cohen said in a statement.

The ministry said it would also operate a special phone line for Ukrainian refugees to provide them with assistance as needed and would coordinate with local nonprofit organizations that can help with other issues that the government would not address.

“The plan will put an emphasis on providing comprehensive assistance to elderly refugees, children, at-risk youth and people with disabilities,” the ministry said.

The issue of Ukrainian refugees has been a highly contentious one in Israel. Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked, with the support of many right-wing lawmakers, initially severely limited the number of refugees who could enter the country and required the families of those coming in to put down large monetary deposits that would only be returned upon their exit from the country.

In the face of a public outcry against these practices, as well as criticism from government ministers, the Interior Ministry first did away with the deposit requirement and increased the number of refugees it would allow into Israel to 5,000, then softened the rules further, allowing any Ukrainian with a family member in Israel to enter the country without limit.

Days ahead of his trip to Mexico in spring 2011, Hunter Biden got an email from a Secret Service agent coordinating his protection detail.

“Hunter, when you have some free time, I would like to discuss the Monterrey trip with you,” Secret Service agent Yvonne DiCristoforo wrote then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son on April 28, 2011.

"I have some specific information to provide you that we received from our Mexico City office,” she added. “I know you are out of the office this evening, but if you could contact me at your convenience, I would appreciate it."

Secret Service records show Hunter Biden, in fact, took the trip with agents protecting him between May 15 to May 17, 2011.

The email, contained on a Hunter Biden laptop now in FBI custody and reviewed by Just the News, may not seem that significant at first blush. But it has significant meaning to Senate investigators.

Why? Because the Secret Service, after years of delay, told GOP Sens. Chuck Grassley, Iowa, and Ron Johnson, Wisconsin, last month the agency has been unable to locate any emails or other records showing its agents coordinating travel for Hunter Biden.

"The Secret Service worked extensively with your committees, and agreed to search parameters provided by your office as to identify communications regarding Mr. Biden's travel," Secret Service Director James M. Murray wrote the senators on Feb. 14.

"These search parameters did not yield communications for the years 2010, 2011, or 2013," Murray added.

In fact, Just the News found about five dozen emails between Hunter Biden and his Secret Service handlers on the FBI-seized laptop for those same years, as well as other ones in other years that Senate investigators said they had not previously seen.

Some emails located by Just the News had clear subject lines such as "upcoming trip" or "all checked in" that made clear they involved the subject of travel. And most appeared to be routine to the daily business of protecting the vice president's family on various trips.

Hunter Biden wrote back the agent two days later claiming one leg of his trip had been canceled. "We are not going to Antartica … State dept again,” the vice presidential son wrote.

The agent expressed dismay at the development. "Sorry about that … the guys were looking forward to going and training hard,” Rifield wrote back. “Enjoy the rest of your trip."

“Each time they told me the other doctors they saw either insisted the reaction was either not linked to vaccination, or the fact they had the reaction was a really good sign, because if they ended up getting COVID the adverse event would have been much, much worse. Shortly after, I then began having friends contact me inquiring if the vaccine could cause a fatal heart attack or stroke, something I had not anticipated would occur.”

Ukrainian sources claimed on March 7 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had attacked Vasily Bykov with a multiple rocket launcher system off the coast of Odessa, heavily damaging the patrol boat or even sinking it.

Ukrainian Navy officers later stated that the “boat was destroyed”. Ukrainian media even published videos which reportedly showed Vasily Bykov burning in the Black Sea.

However, the recent footage of Vasily Bykov near Sevastopol confirm that all of these unofficial and official claims were untrue. The patrol boat is not only still sailing on its power, but also has no visible damage whatsoever.

Vasily Bykov was the first project 22160 patrol boat of the Russian Navy. It was laid down on 26 February 2014 on the Zelenodolsk Shipyard at Zelenodolsk in Tatarstan and launched on 28 August 2017. The patrol boat was commissioned on 20 December 2018 in the Novorossiysk Naval Base at Novorossiysk, becoming part of the Black Sea Fleet.

Defense Of Kyiv’s Forces In Severodonetsk-Lysichansk Agglomeration Collapsed

On March 16, it became clear that the defense of the grouping of Kyiv’s forces in the Severodonetsk-Lysichansk agglomeration in the region of Donbass collapsed.

BUENOS AIRES: An operation coordinated by INTERPOL has led to the capture of nine of Latin America’s most wanted fugitives and positively located several more.

Under the banner of the European Union-funded ‘INTERPOL Support to EL PAcCTO’ project, the four-day operation (1-4 March) brought together investigators from across Latin America and four European countries specialized in tracking down fugitives.

In a command centre established within INTERPOL’s Regional Bureau in Buenos Aires, Argentina, INTERPOL coordinated intensive working meetings between the investigators aimed at locating and arresting a maximum number of fugitives on a list of priority targets established by the global police organization’s Fugitive Investigative Support (FIS) unit.

The operational model effectively pushes international police cooperation into ‘hyper drive’, allowing investigators to exchange actionable information in real-time.

Wanted for a variety of serious crimes, including drug trafficking, money laundering and heading organized crime groups, all fugitives were subject to INTERPOL Red Notices, a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a wanted person.

For the first time, investigators from France, Italy, Portugal and Spain also joined the EL PAcCTO operation. Two of the nine arrests took place in France while two other fugitives were successfully apprehended in Portugal and Spain respectively.

The Pale of Settlement was the name for this same broad swath of fertile territory in Western Russia inside which Jews were confined for more than a century in an attempt to isolate them because of their innate proclivity to swindle gullible residents and capture the wealth of any area in which they lived in great numbers, a talent demonstrated uncountable times over the centuries.

As they have done throughout their soiled history, they milked the addictions and compulsions of innocent peasants by first selling them alcohol and then lending credit at interest rates no borrower could ever repay until all the land belonged to Jews, everything was kosher and everybody else was dead, which is today what makes what is happening in Ukraine an uncanny and unsettling déjà vu foreboding of the ominous expectations of terrified humans today.

Hysterical media describe the current scene as the match about to light World War 3. Cooler heads see it as part of a fiendish plot to enmesh the world in an all-encompassing Communist system by first disposing of most of the world’s population and then bankrupting the remainder to usurp complete control of everyone’s lives.

Some twelve hundred years ago, the Pale of Settlement — or at least an area slightly to the east — was known as the Khazar Empire, a notorious refuge for the ancestors of today’s Israelis, according to the chilling historical description in Hungarian novelist Arthur Koestler’s masterwork, The Thirteenth Tribe, which chronicles the nasty legends of these brutal outcasts of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

The war ravaged Republic of Ukraine now remains trapped between the fatal embrace of two cutthroat Jewish power structures in which no one can predict the outcome except the Jewish billionaires writing the script and employing the actors to distract everyone from their efficient plundering of the world’s economies as apprehensive observers watch spellbound by the twists and turns of this evolving story.

RINO Speaker Robin Vos ADMITS Widespread Fraud Occurred In Wisconsin But Says Legislature Cannot Decertify

100 Percent Fed Up reports – Justice Gableman was hired by WI State Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R) to investigate the November 2020 election. Biden got nearly 21,000 more votes in Wisconsin, a state that Donald Trump won in 2016.

As part of his testimony, Special Counsel Michael Gableman dropped a bombshell when he explained how, in Chapter 1 of their report, the CTCL’s (Center for Tech and Civic Life) “$8.8 million Zuckerberg planned grant” to Wisconsin’s top five Democratic stronghold cities (Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay) used in the November 2020 election “facially violates the Wisconsin law prohibiting election bribery.”

Milo: My new purpose is to protect the unborn and help men struggling with same-sex attraction

'When I was unknowingly choosing to live that [homosexual] life, I was condemned to loneliness, addictions, and a variety of other things,' Milo Yiannopoulos said.

The headline speaker at the Bringing America Back to Life Convention last Friday was Milo Yiannopoulos, an author and former Breitbart columnist who renounced his homosexual lifestyle, repented, and returned to the Catholic Church last year.

Through no fault of his own, Milo’s first-ever appearance at the convention did not proceed according to plan. A weather-induced flight delay in New York put him behind schedule, and upon landing in Cleveland he rode in the back of a squad car to make it to the hotel ballroom as quickly as he could.

Speaking with no notes after leaving his luggage behind, Milo gave an impromptu account of his turning away from homosexuality and the challenges he’s now facing.

The conservative provocateur specifically raised his struggles with anhedonia, defined as the inability to feel pleasure, and implied that it is much more difficult to deal with than celibacy.

“When I was unknowingly choosing to live that [homosexual] life, I was condemned to loneliness, addictions, and a variety of other things,” Milo said in reference to the “endless pursuit of dopamine and pleasure” which colored that life.

“I have permanently fried the reward circuits in my brain … Once you fry those circuits, they don’t come back without decades of recalibration,” he added.

Milo also articulated his new twofold mission after returning to the Catholic faith: to establish a Florida-based clinic to help gay men leave the homosexual lifestyle, and to protect the lives of the unborn.

“I’ve never changed on the gay thing, but I guess I’ve stopped being a hypocrite,” he said. “Without Christ, I am fairly sure that I would be dead.”

Russia Fails To Pay Scheduled Interest On Dollar Bonds By Close Of Business In London

Holders of Russian government dollar bonds with coupons due on Wednesday have not received confirmation of payment as of close of business in London, according to Reuters, raising fears that the Russian default we previewed last night - the first since 1998 - may be imminent (once the 30 day grace period expires).

At issue are two dollar-denominated government bonds which have $117 million in interest due today. Failure to pay - or attempting to pay in rubles instead of dollars - would potentially place Russia in default by its creditors. As discussed last night, the bonds have a 30-day grace period, so creditors can't officially declare default until April 15.

Meanwhile, Russia is arguing that if it defaults it won't be its fault but rather that of sanctions: "The possibility or impossibility of fulfilling our obligations in foreign currency does not depend on us," FinMin Anton Siluanov told Russia Today. "We have the money, we paid the payment, now the ball is on the side, first of all, of the American authorities."

Earlier in the week, Siluanov indicated that the payment might end up being made in rubles because the central bank's foreign currency accounts have been bocked by sanctions.

"The payment arrived at the appropriate American bank, which is our foreign currency account holder," he told RIA, adding: "Currently the payment is being processed and so far we have had no statements on whether it has or hasn’t gone through. So far it hasn’t gone through. But we know that the bank is in talks with OFAC, has requested the necessary information from us about the purpose of the payment. So we are currently waiting for information from our account-holder bank."

And, as noted above, at least one investor in both bonds told the Journal that he hadn't received payment as of early Wednesday.

The last time Russia reneged on its foreign debts was after the Bolshevik Revolution in 1918. Russia defaulted on its local-government debt in 1998 as the post-Soviet economy struggled to find its feet. Oil prices had collapsed to $10 a barrel, starving the government of revenue. The crisis set the stage for President Vladimir Putin’s eventual rise to power at the end of 1999. -WSJ

According to the US Treasury, payment of interest on the bonds issued before March 1 by Russia's central bank national wealth fund or finance ministry is permissible until May 25, per the Journal, after which a specific Treasury-approved license will be required to continue to receive interest, dividends, or maturity payments on Russian government debt. Under those rules, analysts expect that the Kremlin will be able to satisfy its foreign-currency debt in the coming weeks.

"They’re playing a game of chicken with the West," said senior emerging-market sovereign strategist, Timothy Ash, of BlueBay Asset Management. "Our understanding is that it is possible to make the payment."

Well, you know what they say about opinions… Meanwhile the only thing that matters at the end of the day, is what the numbers in the bank account say, and for now they aren't saying anything new.

Secret CIA training program in Ukraine helped Kyiv prepare for Russian invasion

Ukrainian snipers had a problem: Russian forces in eastern Ukraine were trying to blind them.

As the Ukrainians were looking through their scopes in order to find their targets, the Russians had begun pinpointing their location using the glare of the glass, and were shooting high-energy lasers into them, damaging the snipers’ eyesight.

The two sides were squaring off in close proximity. In early 2014, Russia had already invaded and annexed Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula. Shortly thereafter, pro-Russia insurgents in the eastern Donbas region began a grinding secessionist war against Kyiv.

Russian troops soon entered the fray. So, quietly, did the CIA.

As the battle lines hardened in Donbas, a small, select group of veteran CIA paramilitaries made their first secret trips to the frontlines to meet with Ukrainian counterparts there, according to former U.S. officials.

CIA paramilitaries soon concluded that, in Russia and its proxies, the agency was facing an adversary whose capabilities far outmatched the Islamist groups that CIA had been battling in the post-9/11 wars. “We learned a lot real quick,” says a former senior intelligence official — including about the Russians’ laser-blinding techniques. “That s*** wouldn’t happen with the Taliban.”

Since Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine last month — which transformed a long-simmering, attritional conflict into an explosive, all-out war — the Ukrainian military has defied predictions of a rapid collapse, holding key cities against the Russian advance and inflicting punishing losses to Russian troops and materiel.

The Ukrainian military has claimed to have killed three Russian generals, including at least one reportedly eliminated by sniper fire. (Yahoo News could not independently verify whether the Russian commanders were killed by CIA-trained troops.)

At least some of the fierce resistance by Ukrainian forces has its roots in a now shuttered covert CIA training program run from Ukraine’s eastern frontlines, former intelligence officials tell Yahoo News. The initiative was described to Yahoo News by over half a dozen former officials, all of whom requested anonymity to speak freely about sensitive intelligence matters.

The program was run under previously existing authorities for the CIA and did not require a new legal determination for the agency, known as a covert action finding, according to a former national security official.

As part of the Ukraine-based training program, CIA paramilitaries taught their Ukrainian counterparts sniper techniques; how to operate U.S.-supplied Javelin anti-tank missiles and other equipment; how to evade digital tracking the Russians used to pinpoint the location of Ukrainian troops, which had left them vulnerable to attacks by artillery; how to use covert communications tools; and how to remain undetected in the war zone while also drawing out Russian and insurgent forces from their positions, among other skills, according to former officials.
