Some believe that the 18-degree axis shift happened about 3000 years ago. This would cause greatly different weather patterns on earth (pre-shift) and a firmament would be more prevalent blocking more of the sun's UV.
This would wildly throw off our current carbon dating system since this is not currently factored in.
