Twenty-Two States Restore Americans’ 2nd Amendment Rights—So Far

Too many states, such as Washington, California, and New York, continue to infringe on their citizens’ God-given rights to self-defense, enacting gun laws that don’t stop armed criminals from committing with guns. They affect only law-abiding gun owners.
Fortunately, nearly half the states have made or are making it easier for people to protect themselves and their loved ones. The most recent are Alabama and Georgia.
According to AL.com, “Alabama residents will no longer be required to hold a permit to conceal and carry a handgun in the state after Gov. Kay Ivey (R) on Thursday signed a bill effectuating the change into law.” Supporters also call it “constitutional carry,” referring to the clear intent of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
In a party-line vote, Republicans heavily supported the measure with Democrats irascibly opposed. Governor Ivey said, “Unlike most states who… make it harder for law-abiding citizens, Alabama is… defending our Second Amendment rights. I have always stood up for the rights of law-abiding gun owners….”
