Jordan Karem is a Washington, D.C. native who until 2012 worked as director of press[2] for Newt Gingrich. Afterwards, he moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to work as spokesman for APS and later on chief of staff to Don Brandt, the CEO of APS.
Three years later, in 2015, he started to work on a volunteer basis for the Trump campaign. He later became Vice President nominee Mike Pence's press director. In February 2017, Karem joined the White House as special assistant, and deputy director of advance. When longtime Trump advance man George Gigicos left the White House at the end of July 2017, Jordan Karem took over that position on an acting basis.
