Biden’s New COVID Coordinator Wants Vaccine Passports, Claims ‘We Aren’t Anywhere Near the End of This Pandemic’.

Rather than easing off, the Biden regime looks to be ready for a new COVID crackdown with its appointment of a radical pro-vaccine passport White House advisor.

President Joe Biden’s new COVID-19 Coordinator – Dr. Ashish Jha – has vigorously advocated for “vaccine passports” and other hardline measures including mandated vaccines for air travel, despite also defending left-wing protests as “essential”.

Dr. Jha, who will be replacing Jeff Zients and his deputy Natalie Quillian next month, is the current Dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health who has also praised Anthony Fauci as his personal “role model.”

A frequent guest on mainstream media programming, Dr. Jha has routinely used his platform to demand the introduction of vaccine mandates and vaccine passports in America, while insisting “we are not anywhere near the end of this pandemic” in a February 2022 interview.

In an April 28th, 2021 op-ed for The Economist, Dr. Jha outlined his “case for vaccine certificates to beat COVID-19.”

“Vaccine certificates are needed so everyone’s full participation in society can be restored,” he summarized while insisting criticism that the policy represents an “infringement on personal freedom” as “nonsense.”

“As countries administer covid-19 vaccines, having a vaccine certificate—a simple, reliable and secure way to determine who is inoculated—will be critical to making work, school, restaurants, houses of worship and other places safe for everyone,” he reiterates before pointing to programs in New York, Hawaii, and Israel as models to emulate:

“The state of New York has rolled out a smartphone app that verifies a person’s vaccination status or recent negative test result, allowing admission to public events like baseball games. Hawaii plans to pilot a programme exempting those who can show proof of vaccination from mandatory quarantine requirements. Israel, which has already rolled out a “green pass” system, plans to open the programme to international travelers who can show proof of vaccination.”

Dr. Jha has also spoken at events – including “A National Strategy For Digital Health” – sponsored by Mitre Corp, which is spearheading efforts to normalize digital health passports for Americans seeking to travel, enter businesses, or attend school.

Similarly, Dr. Jha called for a “vaccine mandate for air travel” in a Twitter thread from October 3rd, 2021.

Russia Won’t Ask UN Council Vote on Its Ukraine Resolution

Russia announced it will not ask the U.N. Security Council to vote Friday on its draft resolution on humanitarian relief for Ukraine, which has been criticized for making no mention of Moscow’s invasion of its neighbor.

It will instead use the scheduled council session to again raise allegations that the United States has biological warfare laboratories in Ukraine, claims that Washington says are disinformation and part of a potential “false-flag operation” by Moscow.

Russia’s U.N. ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, made the announcement at a Security Council meeting Thursday afternoon that was called by six Western countries, including the United States, to get an update on the three-week-old war.

He said Russia is not withdrawing the resolution but decided not to seek a vote at this time because of what he called “unprecedented pressure” from Western nations, especially the United States and Albania, on U.N. member states to oppose the measure.

Russian Media: Detention of WNBA’s Griner Extended to May 19

Russian media reported that the detention of WNBA star Brittney Griner was extended until May 19, a development that could see the two-time Olympic champion being held for at least three months before her case is resolved.

The case of the 31-year-old Griner, one of the most recognizable players in women’s basketball, comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Moscow over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Griner was detained at a Moscow airport, reportedly in mid-February, after Russian authorities said a search of her luggage revealed vape cartridges allegedly containing oil derived from cannabis, which could carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

“The court granted the request of the investigation and extended the period of detention of the U.S. citizen Griner until May 19,” the court said, according to the state news agency Tass.

The U.S. Embassy in Moscow did not immediately return calls from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Mila Kunis And Ashton Kutcher Raise More Than $30 Million For Ukraine

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher announced Thursday they had reached their goal, raising more than $30 million to help the people in Ukraine following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of the country in February.

“We just want to say we hit our goal,” the superstar couple shared in a video posted on Instagram. “Over $30 million raised. Over 65,000 of you donated. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support.”

The 38-year-old actress said, “While this is far from the solve of the problem, our collective effort will provide a softer landing for so many people as they forge ahead into their future of uncertainty.”

“Our work is not done,” the 44-year-old actor shared. “We’re going to do everything we can to ensure that the outpouring of love that came from you all as a part of this campaign finds the maximum impact with those in need.”“As funding continues to come in, we are going to treat every dollar as if it’s being donated out of our pocket,” Kutcher added. “With respect and honor for the work that went into earning it, with the intent of love through which it was given, and the desire for it to be maximized for positive outcome for others.”

The “Bad Moms” star once again thanked everyone for donating and asked them to keep giving to their GoFundMe campaign or “other unbelievable foundations” out there, calling it the beginning to a very long journey.

Earlier this month, the Ukrainian-born actress and her superstar husband pledged to match $3 million in donations to provide aid to refugees amid the war being raged by Russia against Kunis’ homeland.

“I was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine in 1983,” Kunis explained in a video about their fundraising campaign. “I came to America in 1991. I have always considered myself American, a proud American, I love everything that this country has done for myself and my family. But today, I have never been more proud to be a Ukrainian.”

“And I’ve never been more proud to be married to a Ukrainian,” the “That 70s Show” star explained about his wife.

“The events that have unfolded in Ukraine are devastating,” Kunis added. “There is no place in this world for this kind of unjust attack on humanity.”

The “Black Swan” star immigrated at the age of 7 to the United States after her family fled from Ukraine when it was a Soviet republic, reported Glamour previously.

“My parents went through hell and back,” Kunis shared with the outlet. “They came to America with suitcases and a family of seven and $250, and that’s it. My parents, for years, worked full-time and went to college full-time. They would go to night school to learn English.”

Joe Biden is sounding the alarm about the need for more resources to fight a series of wildfires in western states, as climate change has worsened the spread and ferocity of the blazes.

“Our resources are already being stretched to keep up,” Biden told a bipartisan group of governors at a virtual meeting Friday. “We need more help.”

The president opened the meeting with a nod to Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, who sought the Democratic nomination for president against Biden by stressing the threats from climate change. The mix of intense heat, droughts and other events tied to rising average temperatures has turned the fires into a national challenge as the smoke is worsening air quality as far away as New York City.

“Jay, you’re beginning to convince the American people there is a thing called climate crisis,” the president said at the start of his remarks, before reeling through a series of troubling numbers.

The reason why Democrats like Biden want to push climate change is that they want to eventually claim climate change is a health crisis.

If the government can then claim climate change is a health crisis, a climate lockdown will quickly follow just like we saw for the Covid-19 lockdowns.

Putin Lays Out Demands For Cease-Fire In Call With Turkey's President

Update (2120ET): In a Thursday conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly outlined the conditions for ending his invasion of Ukraine. According to a BBC report, a Turkish official who listened to the call between the two leaders said that Putin would end his invasion if several conditions are met including a promise that Ukraine will remain neutral and not join NATO.

Erdogan's leading adviser and spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin, said Russia is also calling for Ukraine to undergo a disarmament process to mitigate threats to Russia in the future as well as legal protections for the Russian language in Ukraine. Additionally, Putin reportedly desires promises related to the "Denazification" of Ukraine.

Putin, according to the report, is also asking for face-to-face negotiations with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to hammer out his demands which Zelenskyy has previously stated he is not opposed to.

According to Kalin, there were other conditions Putin listed that he did not go into much detail about but he believes they will involve territories that have broken away from Ukraine in the eastern Donbas region.

The report states that it is "assumed" Putin will ask Ukraine to give up territory in the east and formally recognize that Crimea, which Russia illegally annexed in 2014, is a part of Russia.

The demands are in line with previous reporting that stated Putin has told Ukrainian officials he will end his invasion if six major conditions are met. News of Putin’s willingness to negotiate an end to the war comes as his invasion enters its fourth week.
