Cambodia PM Looking to Shut Down Soros-Funded NGO ‘Serving Foreign Interests’
A George Soros-funded NGO which is trying to push gay marriage on Cambodia “must close”, said Prime Minister Hun Sen, accusing the group of serving foreign interests.
“The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR) must close, because they take their directions from foreigners,”
The [CCHR] was founded in 2002 by former opposition leader Kem Sokha, who is currently awaiting trial on treason charges, accused of conspiracy to foment a colour revolution, after it emerged he told supporters he had received advice from U.S. experts.
A report published by the organisation last Thursday, entitled ‘Cambodia’s Rainbow Families’, demanded the nation grant gay couples the right to marry and adopt children.
Based on interviews with 121 individuals in LGBTIQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, ‘queer’) relationships, the report also urged the introduction of a “gender identity law” which would allow people to change their birth gender on official documents.

Ortega Closes another 25 Non-Profit Organizations in Nicaragua
The sudden action with no recourse, increases the list of 114 NGOs already shuttered on fabricated catch-all charges between November 2018 and February 2022.
allegedly the NGOs did not report to Migob who makes up their boards of directors, previous donations from abroad and identity documents of their funders. Situations that, the legislator points out, “have hindered the control and surveillance” of the regulatory entity and supposedly show that said NGOs “have carried out their activities outside the law and acted against express law.”
