This apocalyptic religious symbol clanging is a broadcast for both sides. In regards to the plan, it's yet another way this corner of the awakening (religion) and how it ties into exposing how they would have done it (wiping out tons of people through the sacrificial rite of war and fulfillment of their Revelation prophecies).

Gave in, or was pressured and relented? Regardless, people do things to drag themselves out of their situations. I don't hold anyone to shame for giving out their body to find a way out. It's when they abandon their soul/humanity to knowingly trounce on others that irks me. She was probably abused from a young age, like so many others, and was just doing what was "normal" for her. It can be really hard to see things from all perspectives, but it's so very important to do so.
