Yes, and trying to scare people from keeping a few hens. It’s very easy to keep and care for hens and no danger of this flu. Most of these bird flu cases happen on factory farms.. sheer numbers game. Keeping chickens in a small backyard flock is a cinch, can be done cheaply, and a valuable,constant source of protein.
You don’t need a rooster to get a daily egg from a hen. Chickens are also omnivores and do best with bugs and meat. Vegetarian fed chickens do not equal good eggs. Brown eggs are not healthier either.
