That other guitarist would, of course, be Eric Clapton, who’s gotten far more attention for his anti-vaccine views lately than for anything else he’s done. As Consequence reports, Richards discussed Clapton on a recent episode of Rolling Stone’s Music Now.
In the interview, Richards spoke of his fondness for Clapton personally, before addressing the effects of the pandemic on their friendship. “This COVID thing, it’s split people up and it made people sometimes go awry for awhile, you know?” Richards said.
Richards also made his own views on the pandemic clear. “I just want to get rid of this damn thing, and the only way I can see is everybody does as doctor says,” he said.
