A friend's wife is from Kiev, Ukraine and lives in the US now. Her children still live in Ukraine and have fled Kiev, but have not been able to leave the country.

She says that while watching the TV, the US MSM leads people to believe that Russian is only spoken in the eastern section, and that most of the country speaks Ukrainian.

This, she says is totally wrong.

Russian is overwhelmingly spoken in Kiev and in most of the country. Ukrainian is spoken is spots.
