No, I'm open to consider it. Just seems a wee bit implausible on the surface, and I've not yet had a whole cup of coffee. I'm more inclined to believe that humanity is enslaved by it's own stupidity, superstition and avarice.
My thoughts are, why would a civilization advanced enough to cross interstellar space want to enslave a race of violent, self-harming and counter-productive apes other than for food? If the motives of the aliens are more of a metaphysical nature, I'm not evolved enough to perceive or understand them.
If they wanted our resources, they would simply eradicate us. Need more covfefe to continue convo any further.
