On to the next catastrophe, Covid didnt work

Jeff Zients, the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, is leaving the Biden administration.

The coordinator made his announcement on Thursday and President Joe Biden heralded his work in a 486 word press release.

“I called on Jeff Zients to lead my Administration’s COVID-19 response because there is no one better at delivering results than Jeff,” the president said.

“COVID-19 is the greatest public health crisis we’ve faced in my lifetime and it required the country to build from scratch an emergency response infrastructure that could quickly and equitably get people life-saving protections. Jeff put his decades of management experience to work formulating and executing on a plan to build the infrastructure we needed to deliver vaccines, tests, treatment, and masks to hundreds of millions of Americans.

“When Jeff took this job, less than 1% of Americans were fully vaccinated; fewer than half our schools were open; and unlike much of the developed world, America lacked any at-home COVID tests. Today, almost 80% of adults are fully vaccinated; over 100 million are boosted; virtually every school is open; and hundreds of millions of at-home tests are distributed every month. In addition, the US leads the global effort to fight COVID, delivering more free vaccines to other countries than every other nation on Earth. The progress that he and his team have made is stunning and even more important consequential. Lives have been saved,” he said.

“Jeff spent the last 14 months working tirelessly to help combat COVID. He is a man of service and an expert manager. I will miss his counsel and I’m grateful for his service.

“Thanks to all the progress we’ve made, Americans are safely moving back to more normal routines, using the effective new tools we have to enable us to reduce severe COVID cases and make workplaces and schools safer. But our work in combatting COVID is far from done. We must continue the effort to provide more vaccines and boosters. We must get a vaccine approved for the youngest children. We must continue to improve how our schools and workplaces cope with COVID. We must take special care to protect the vulnerable from COVID, even as many restrictions are lifted. We need to provide tests, and treatments, and masks. We must fight the virus overseas, prepare for new waves, and new variants – all of which can be coming. And we must work with Congress to fund these vital steps, as time is running out to stay ahead of the virus,” the president said.

United States ‘Has In Effect Declared War On Russia’ Former CIA Agent Says

Former CIA Agent Bryan Dean Wright believes that the United States has already declared war on Russia.

As Russia’s war with Ukraine continues the former CIA agent appeared on Fox News and spoke to host Tucker Carlson about the current state of affairs between the United States and Russia, Mediaite reported.

Civilians face the full wrath of one of the world’s largest militaries, but Ukraine’s fighters are mounting a vigorous defense. None of that would likely be possible without help from the West, as Ukraine is not a particularly wealthy nation.

American-made missiles, weapons ammunition and other crucial pieces of equipment have helped the country halt Russia’s advance.

On Tucker Carlson Tonight, Wright told Carlson that America’s arming of Ukraine equates to a declaration of war.

“The possibility of a hot war are real and getting more real every day,” he said.

A “hot war” as opposed to a “cold war” would involve United States and Russian troops actually shooting at each other.

“What I’m asking America to do tonight is put aside their hatred for Putin or Zelensky, for that matter, or Ukraine or Russia,” he said.

He said that the aid that the United States has been sending to Ukraine is tantamount to a declaration of war.

“Understand that we have in effect declared war against Russia. We have done three things. One, we have crippled their economy. Two, we are shoving in all of these weapons. And, third, this hasn’t gotten a lot of press. We are giving tactical intelligence to the Ukrainian government to put an X on the forehead of a Russian soldier and Russian equipment. Let me say its little differently. Our spies and satellites are helping the Ukrainians kill Russians. So, we have declared war,” he said.

He said that the Pentagon would decide what a war with Russia would look like, but argued that the United States was defeated in Afghanistan by “goat herders.”

“But it involves young people dying and we should also be talking about that, because our people in Washington aren’t going to be the ones sacrificing,” he said.

Last week Russia informed the United States that it considers the American convoys carrying weapons to Ukraine to be legitimate military targets.

At the time CIA got huge numbers of corporate outlets to spread its lie that the Biden laptop was "Russian disinformation," actual reporters at the WPost warned Biden constantly maligns incriminating reports as "Russian disinformation" with no evidence:

Biden relies on pattern of activity to blame Russia for release of data from what is said to be his son’s laptop

Joe Biden leaned heavily on a letter from former U.S. intelligence and defense officials in Thursday night’s debate to argue that Russia orchestrated a disinformation operation allegedly involving damaging information obtained from his son’s laptop that was promulgated by President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudolph W. Giuliani.

Get the full experience.

Choose your plan

“There are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what he’s accusing me of is a Russian plant,” Biden said at the debate. The former vice president said those former officials had concluded that what Trump was citing about his son was “a bunch of garbage.”

But the former intelligence and defense officials who penned the letter explicitly said they had no evidence of Russian involvement, noting only that Giuliani had been the target of Russian spies and their experience made them “deeply suspicious” that the Russian government played a role.

The Biden campaign’s decision to lean into accusations of Russian involvement in the episode, despite lacking specific proof, risks eroding public trust in U.S. allegations of foreign election interference if the suspicions in this case turn out to be unfounded, according to intelligence and foreign policy experts. Trump already has undermined such trust by casting doubt on proved Russian interference on his behalf during the 2016 campaign and denigrating U.S. intelligence officials.

“Biden is holding himself to a higher standard than Trump. Then we should hold Biden to a higher standard as well,” said Thomas Rid, professor of strategic studies at Johns Hopkins University and author of a book on the history of disinformation and political warfare. “And that means acknowledging in this case that we just don’t have the evidence.”

The Biden campaign’s assertion of Russian involvement in the Hunter Biden leaks comes as the Democratic nominee campaigns on restoring truth and transparency to the U.S. government.

Trump’s director of national intelligence, John Ratcliffe, said publicly that there is no intelligence to support allegations that the leak of materials related to Hunter Biden was “part of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

But Ratcliffe’s statement was interpreted broadly as a partisan gesture designed to bolster a disinformation campaign being launched directly by Trump’s allies, rather than a formal assessment from the U.S. intelligence community.

There are also indications that the Trump administration has sought to downplay the threat of Russian interference in the campaign. A senior Department of Homeland Security official said in September that he was told to stop providing intelligence reports on the Russian threat, in part because it “made the President look bad.”….
