>Don't go to places where you're expected to tip.

EXPECTED

Means compulsory, as in not optional. "Excellent" service is not common or normal. Half-assed service is standard, but the tip is still expected. Tips are "expected" at fucking coffee shops…like wow, you're poured that cup of black coffee so amazingly…I'm pay $7 for a $5 overpriced cup of coffee.

In case you didn't know, most "restaurants" are literally fronts to launder the profits from back door drug dealing by the kitchen staff. There's plenty of money to pay the front of house properly without this stupid argument over tipping.

I had to go to Vegas for a conference years ago. There are no coffee pots in the rooms in Vegas, but the Hotels have coffee shops… It's nearly more practical to buy a coffee pot/filters and grinds when you get there, brew your own for the duration of your stay, and abandon the pot when you fly out.

Ain't it though. Complimentary anything has gone they way of the dodo. Gotta earn those returns for the investors. "If you're not growing, you're dying." "Always be closing (ABCs)" Greed is gross.

I appreciate your response, anon, and you're probably right on many accounts. The best service I ever had was at a Ruth's Chris steakhouse in Dallas. THAT was exceptional service and I tipped very well.

I just don't understand things like having to pay a delivery fee for pizza, and then tipping a delivery driver simply because he's getting fucked by his employer. Yes, the delivery driver provided a service…drove to house, handed over pizza…but I don't tip UPS or FEDEX, so why is society expected to tip the pizza guy?

So it's a protection racket, like the mob. Living way out in the country now, so I have to get my own pizza…and the carryout counter still asks for a tip. It's a ridiculous cult mentality.

I'm honestly glad it worked for you. There seems to be a generational divide between tipping for excellent service, and compulsory tipping, like a tax, every time money changes hands. My millennial daughter tips everywhere, like it's a SJW virtue signal. I only tip when I consider it appropriate.

I think all these teenage girls who are creating CP and sending it to teenage boys on SnapChat should definitely be spending life in prison, if not getting the death penalty.

The only way we can be free is with more laws and harsher sentences.

Prison is freedom.

War is Peace.

Hunger is healthy.

Homelessness is happiness.

Keep repeating the lines.
