This is probably why they're going to try to cancel it… "muh racism" is the easy card to play when in fact most blacks will openly admit they just don't tip. Dumb move though given how many hospitality folks are on the left.

Don't go to places where you're expected to tip.

Servers/Restaurant owners don't walk into your house and demand you change the way you do things do they?

was a server on and off for 14 years. Was a great way to pay ones bills while pursuing other goals if you were smart and good. Can't imagine making as much if being paid a flat wage by the restaurant.

Also,WAY TOO MANY DRUGS

Anon had his own demons, but it was sad and scary watching opiates destroy the lives of so many as the epidemic took hold.

so 14 years serving. 20 years total bar/restaurant/pizza delivery experience… Knew many dealers that worked in restaurants sometimes management knew sometimes they didn't. Never knew a restaurant owner who was in on it. You overgeneralize. Businesses do business where the customers are. Businesses look for "ins" (access to customers). The restaurant is no more responsible for the drug dealer employee than the Construction company is for its employee dealers. In fact, with all that experience, the only time I know for a fact an owner was in on drug trafficking occured when I was 10 years old. The pizza joint I'd fold boxes for to earn video game credits later got busted as the owner was also dealing coke.

You also have issues with boundaries. Who cares what others demand of you? You clearly know what exceptional service is. Go where you get it. Tip accordingly. Fuck everyone and everthing else.

you should watch Rekeita Law on YT.

He cooks real food.

he's been dealing with the phenomena of everything containing animal fat tasting rancid since he recovered from covid. Going on 6 months now I think. He loves food so he's fucking misearable. It's slowly getting better, but this is clear evidence to the contrary of your opinion.

I drove like a bat out of hell to get as many deliveries as I could to people as fast as I could so they would tip me more. In hindsight, maybe not the best thing to do. Now I tip well as a customer because someone brought me my food, the order was accurate, and the food is hot like it's supposed to be.

I'm not saying you don't have a legitimate argument; only that no one is forcing you to play the game.

Fwiw, I never thought I was being fucked by my employer because I was paid in tips. I chose that job because I could work 4 hours per night 3 nights per week and 6 hours 1 night per week, and pay muh bills while in college. $12/hr (average) to drive around and listen to your cds with the expectation that, when your boss was done yelling at you for whatever reason you'd get in your car and leave, when minimum wage was $4.25, was a Godsend, not a curse. The only thing better to me at the time was delivering flowers, as no one ever complains when the flowers are cold.

store bought food sucks, and is likely poison. Not denying that.

Just saying the lose of taste and smell is a real thing for some after Covid. I think history (if the good guise win) will show this to be a clue that viruses aren't we thought they were. I could be wrong.

It's up to you. Do what you want. If I go to a sit down restaurant that makes most of it's money with sit down business I tip 10% if they get everything right.

Carrabbas though, for example, as of 2010, paid their curbside employees minimum wage, though, unlike the servers, so there's that.

agree and this nonsense about uber eats drivers not accepting orders where the tip isn't given in advance is total bullshit… though I wonder if you can adjust your tip after the fact like you can the uber drivers… if so, It's still total bullshit but you can always just tip high to get em to the door then adjust it down based on how they do.

Her answer wasn't that controversial… her record is controversial and any answer would have been spun that way, but he's right about it being a pretty lame hearing so far. No fireworks yet.

Lindsey's wrong here.

"I get that you advocate for your clients, but this is an amicus brief"

it's an amicus brief that she filed on behalf of a client, bonehead.
