People, who are not financially well off, have been bucking the Public School System for a long time via small private schools (usually religious) or homeschooling their kids.

I started by going to a homeschool conference.

What an abundance of information I walked away with.

Go online and find a conference would be my recommendation. Or just jump into it and buy a boxed curriculum and sit down with your kid and do it.
