There is power in prayer.
Not every prayer has the same power.
Not every person praying, has the same skill level.
From Terry Pratchett's book "Small Gods" (lowercase-g, capitalized because it's a title), a god would have relative power compared to other gods based on number of worshipers.
Corporations regularly raid each other to "poach" the best employees.
So: do/did (? - kek, no, it's "do") gods behave similar to corporations, and recruit the more powerful worshipers from each other?
