Graham: Did you also say that the number of images [child pornography] should not be considered as a sentence enhancement?

Jackson: I impose…substantial supervision.

Graham: You think it is a bigger deterrent to take somebody who is one computer looking at sexual images of children..is to supervise their computer habits vs putting them in jail?

Jackson: No,.,I didn't say vs.

Graham: That's exactly what you said.

Jackson: On the internet, with one click, you can receive, you can distribute, 10's of thousands [child pornography images], you can be doing this for 15 minutes, and all of a sudden you are looking at 30, 40, 50, years in prison.

Graham: Good!

Graham: You were always under the recommendations of the prosecutor, many times under the parole people..32-year old man who sent an image of his own 10-year old daughter, you substantially reduced, not only the guidelines, but the recommendations. Your view of how to deter child pornography is not my view…every judge who does what you're doing is making it easier for children to be exploited.

Jackson: …I sentenced him [pharmacy robber] above the requirement of the law because I thought it was warranted to make clear to him, that this was a terrible, terrible, thing he did.

[and she sentences child pornographers under the prosecutor recommendations 100% of the time]

Cornyn: If you accuse someone of a crime, are you accusing them of being a criminal?

Jackson: It depends on the circumstances.

Cornyn: So you put this is the same category as defining what a biological woman is. You aren't sure.

Jackson: …it depends on the circumstances.

Cornyn: I don't think that's credible, judge.

Cornyn: Do you think there's any good reason for the supreme court not to overrule a previous decision when they've concluded that decision was wrong?

Jackson: It's hard for me to answer that question in the abstract.

Cornyn: No one suggests that a 20-week old fetus can live independently outside the mother's womb.

Jackson: I don't know…I'm not a biologist.
