Maybe someone can answer this. Is cannibalism the bite that can't be cured?

I've actually read that book. A long time ago. But it stuck with me. Back then I could rationalize it and maybe have done the same in their place. Now…I would say no. But, I know human nature and the will to survive is strong, so I would rather not have to make that decision.
