he's right

people have long been tired of being treated as just another number

at least good employees were

there are those urbanites who don't give a shit and just want a paycheck by doing the bare minimum

but the ones who take pride in their work and want to put out quality products got sick of it

i always said a business should notice when they have a good employee and promote them but now all they care about it their bottom line and rather than pay a potential long term employee enough money to provide for a family, they pay just enough to pay the bills and make it back to work the next week while suits get 7 figure incomes for sitting on a board and thinking of new bullshit ways to fuck over the employee so they can buy two more yachts at the end of the 4th quarter

hope they continue to struggle while the workers become entrepreneurs and put them out of business

that had a lot to do with it, the final straw so to speak but the tension has long been there

been in a few different fields for close to 2 decades now and heard it all the time

then when shit got real, as dana said, the companies didn't hesitate to cut people loose and pretty much say "fend for yourselves" and now when the companies are hurting they expect the people to come back and bail them out

sorry but if a company branch profits 10's of millions in one year at just one location with maybe 100 employees at that one location who are getting, on average, about $13/hour, then they can afford to pay those employees(who are lucky to see $35k/year) a better salary
