>Plus, the first two dominoes fell for retail mammoth, Wal-Mart. They are closing two stores and not being very quiet about it.
WINNING!
Speaking of Walmart: understandably, Corporate can't control what individual employees do, but there has just been a trend of Walmart devolving.
(Baker, not posting for notable consideration. Just case in point example of how sorry as dirt is Walmart)
>Woodville Walmart Employee Suffers Hot Grease Burn
>By: Editor-In-Chief Allen Fitts
>At approximately 1010 AM on Wednesday morning, a Woodville Walmart employee was heard throughout the north side of the store screaming.
>Witnesses describe that people shopping inside of the store in that area began turning their attention to the deli, and trying to learn why this employee was screaming.
>We will only identify this employee by her first name of Jenny, to protect her identity.
>TCTXT learned that "Jenny" was cooking fried foods in the deep fryer when hot grease began exiting through the grease catcher pan and on to her clothing and lower legs.
>Witnesses further described that she was moved into the deep freezer with only a small roll of dry hand napkins wrapped around the burn area.
>One witness, who was a fireman, told TCTXT that a floor supervisor identified as Kelly Eaves came out of nowhere and began ordering customers to mind their own business that she had the entire situation "under control". She also began ordering other employees to "get back to work" and not worry about what was going on.
>Another witness told us here at TCTXT that burn cream was brought to "Jenny" however, and at first, Eaves wouldn't allow it's use, but then and " reluctantly " decided it was " OK " for the employee to use the cream.
>TCTXT reached out to Store Manager Anthony Williams for comment on this matter. At press time, Mr. Williams had not returned our call.

>Current Progress On The Woodville Walmart Incident
>By: Editor-In-Chief Allen Fitts
>We would like to update our readers on the current progress of the situation that occurred at Woodville Walmart on Wednesday.
>We reached out to Walmart Corporate in Bentonville Arkansas of why this situation was handled the way it was handled.
>Some of the questions we are seeking answers to are as follows:
>1. Why are supervisors not trained to handle employee emergencies ?
>2. Why are untrained supervisors "ordering" people inside the store who identify themselves as a first responder being denied access to an injured employee?
>3. Why are untrained supervisors "ordering" shoppers inside the store to "mind their own business" when these people are simply coming to help an injured employee ?
>We have requested that Walmart Corporate answer our questions by a written press release. We want a written press release so we can publish what their answers are, and if they are even concerned about this situation.
>Minor, or major, it's not a question of who is in charge, it's a matter of who has the proper training to deal with these types of emergencies immediately, and with, or without the permission of store supervisors who have no training.
>We will keep you readers up-to-date.
