No, it depends on what currency it's priced against. US$ may indeed be a 32% discount, but to whom? US? EU? Russia, and what's it buying? Muh Oil, now priced in Rubles, and what's the delivery point? All these were standardized futures contracts, all priced in US$.

Any one country that returns to the gold standard would make the world compete for that gold standard country's commodities (trade), while all others would now have to compete on price at four different points, gold's price in two currencies, and the currencies priced against each other, then two different pricing systems for the underlying commodity, world, and say Russian gold based ruble.
You tell me which one then gets stable market treatment out of the gate?
Nixon removed the US Gold standard for good in 1971. (There was a second, silver standard that went earlier, but i'm not going to quibble with those details of "Silver Certificates").
