On the lawn where the sanctuary once stood, there is still a wooden idol, with eight eyes permeating space and time. For several centuries, the cult spread in Western and Eastern Europe. At least since the 19th century, Ukrainian historians have found evidence that the Ruyan deity was known and revered in our country.

Fourteen centuries ago on Rod-gora (which today is also part of the park complex "Demolition") there was a settlement - Lviv settlement. On the basis of it, the historians of the last century I. Sharanevych and I. Vahylevych argued, Prince Danylo Romanovych founded Lviv. The ancestors of the Galician capital had to repel the attacks of enemy tribes in turbulent times, so they built defensive ramparts and supported the cults of the gods of war.

In the classical period, the pagan temple was separated from the sanctuary (platform in front of the altar) by a sacred curtain (in the Arkon Temple , these were heavy carpet curtains, in the modern Yasukuni Temple , a light sliding wall). However, as excavations at Mount Bogit have shown , the curtain was not installed everywhere. After the beginning of the persecution of the pagans among the Slavs, the curtain is rarely used.
