Ziminski Makes Final Court Appearance Before Arson Trial – Wife Released From Prison Days Ago

Joshua Ziminski (37) has made several court appearances in the last two years for his alleged role in the Kenosha Riots of 2020. This, however was his first in orange jail garb. That is because Kenosha’s longest-serving Judge, Bruce Schroeder raised Ziminski’s bail to $14,000 on January 31st, 2022, the day he was supposed to go to trial. He has been unable to post the large bond and will likely be incarcerated until his trial on March 28. Ziminski will be standing trial for Arson, Disorderly Conduct-Use of a dangerous weapon, and obstruction. He faces a maximum of 3.5 years in prison. Ziminski is accused of starting at least one fire, that of a construction trailer. He is also the man caught on camera infamously firing the first shot seconds before Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum legally.
Ziminski appears to have recently shaved his head, further reveling a large tattoo reading “SIN” bold on the back of his head. He also has three teardrop tattoos and an upside-down crucifix tattooed on his forehead.

Joshua’s wife, Kelly Ziminski, (nee Dunn) was just released from Taycheedah Correctional Institution on February 22, 2022. She was serving prison time for a probation revocation for multiple misdemeanors including three counts of retail theft, 4 counts of neglecting a child, and one count of bail jumping. She was also sentenced by Judge Schroeder to 7 months of prison for her role in assisting her husband with the rioting on August 25, 2020. She has been subpoenaed to testify against her husband Joshua in his arson trial.
Today’s hearing was brief and both sides, that is the prosecution and Ziminski’s defense attorney Michael Barth said they were ready to proceed. Pinch-hitting for T. Clair Binger today was ADA James Kraus. The Judge and Attorney Barth estimated that the trial will last two days. Jury selection will be on Monday, March 28, and the trial will begin on March 29.
