I also think that the facial data from zoom meeting, MS teams was harvested and used to train AI for facial recognition software.
There was an article on that a whole back but the training of AI was one of the first things I thought of for the Zoom Revolution.
On your point though, there was some initial pushback regarding data privacy and such, but that was quickly forgotten about.
